Chapter 24

Kacey POV-

It's been a couple of hours since I had my breakdown and told Alyssa the truth about my past, the complete truth.

We've decided to go to the shops closest to us and get some things for Hunter, so we can set up a room for him next to ours, so we know that he will be safe at all times.

We arrive at the mall at about 3 in the afternoon, leaving us enough time to get everything we need before the shops shut for the day.

It looked like Hunter was in awe of the things around, as if he hadn't seen something like this in his life and I think Alyssa noticed too because she looked at him sympathetically.

"Hunter what sort of things do you like?" Alyssa asked him, I'm guessing so we could buy clothes with some of his favourite things in, also maybe some toys.

"I wike doggies and cars" he answered back.

"What's your favourite colours?" I asked him in hope of finding some paint for his room, so he feels as comfortable as possible staying with us.

"Blue, I awso wike pink but I told that's bad because I'm a boy"

"Your allowed to like pink there's nothing wrong with that, who ever told you that is wrong" I told him meaning what I said.

"So I'm allowed pink things?" he asked me with a massive grin on his face going from ear to ear.

"Of course you are, if you want it" Alyssa replied back to his comment.

When we walked into true first shop, the first section we went to was the little boys section so Hunter can see which clothes he likes.

From that store alone we bought many different items costing quite a lot because we weren't able to say no when he started to pout and looked really cute, but we didn't really mind because he looked like he was having a great time and that's all we can ask for.

This ended up happening quite a lot throughout the couple of hours we were shopping, we ended up with at least 5 bags of clothing for him, which most of it he picked out for himself.

We are going to be going to one more shop before heading home with the things we had bought, except the bed, paint and some other things for his room that we got some pack members to pick up so they can set up his roll so it's ready before we get back.

The shop we have just arrived at is a toy shop so we can buy a couple of toys that he'd like, but not too many because we dont want to spoil him more than we have already.

While Hunter was looking through some toys me and Alyssa were talking when she suddenly says "you know you two look quite similar, I'm surprised I didn't mention it before"

"I know, that's what triggered some of my memories earlier, it's probably just a coincidence though"

"Yeah, maybe" she replied finishing the conversation.

I walked over to Hunter to see if he had picked a couple of toys that he'd like, "do you know what you want little man?" I asked.

"How many can I have, there's so many to pick fwom" he replied.

"You can have 2 or 3, but no more you've already gotten a lot of things today" I told him sounding quite stern, surprising myself and Alyssa.

"Okay" he replied while humming to himself.

About 10 minuted later he slowly came over to me and Alyssa with 2 teddies in his arms and dragging the other because of the size of it, that's probably what's slowing him down a considerable amount.

"I found fwree I like" he told us with a huge smile on his face.

"That's a very large teddy bear you have" Alyssa told him.

"Yessss it's so cuddly" he replies while dropping the others and jumping into the teddy giggling.

"Guess we'll go pay for them and head home"  I told him with a smile on my face.
