There are two things you never thought you'd be doing in your life that you're doing at the moment:
Being in a super secret relationshipLying to your boss
Unfortunately for you, you regret neither option. The least public, yet best relationship you had is with Zabdiel de Jesús. It took him a while to finally convince you to date him because you were nervous about losing your job as part of CNCO's management team.
So here you are, lying to your boss, Clara, who is a really good friend of yours, to date the man of your dreams. Any regret you have is minimized by spending time with Zabdiel.
You were asked by Clara to do a few mini-interviews of the boys for a video about how the tour is going so far. Naturally, you did Zabdiel's first which you had to edit the crap out of since he wouldn't stop winking or flirting. However, for the past 3-4 days, you've been helping the other boys figure out what they want to say and how they want the video to be. Zabdiel already shared his ideas with you, so you haven't seen him much since you want this video to be absolutely perfect. You're hoping after your internship is over and last semester of college that you'll be hired as a full-time member of CNCO's management team.
"Zabdi?" You call out as you open the door to his hotel room in the late hours of the night. Everyone has already gone to bed, and usually while you two wait he's texting you about sneaking in or how he misses you, but tonight, nada.
When you walk into the vast hotel room, you find him sitting on the bed under the covers. He simply smiles at you before he turns his attention back towards the TV, which is simply playing Friends. It doesn't seem like he's watching it, however, but in deep thought. A slight tinge is felt in your chest at the sight, confusion radiating over your entire body.
Your feet pad over towards the foot of the bed before climbing in and lying down next to him. On any normal night, he'd be pulling your into his side to cuddle you as close as possible, but tonight he doesn't even so much as glance down at you. Anxiety begins to creep up inside you, latching its claws deep into your stomach. The unnecessary feeling also brings a fastpaced heartbeat, making you softly hear the blood pumping in your ears.
"Cariño, what's wrong?" You whisper, gently taking his hand, which he doesn't make an effort to hold at all. He simply shrugs in response.
"Nada."
After a few minutes of this game, you decide you've had enough. If he won't communicate with you, you can't help him at all. Without so much as even a sigh, you slide out of bed, immediately heading out the door.
"Where are you going?" He finally speaks, causing you to spin around on the ball of your foot to face him.
"Does it matter? You're treating me like I'm not there anyway. I'm going to go back to my room, or maybe to one of the other boy's rooms, they might actually tell me what's wrong with you so I can fix it!" You say angrily, raising your voice at him slightly for the first time ever. The higher octaves of your voice leaves him with wide eyes and parted lips as you turn on your hell, making your way back towards the door, obviously hurt.
Before your hand can even so much as graze the door handle, two hands wrap around your waist, spinning you around.
"Nena, don't go I'm sorry," He whispers earnestly, making you know instantly he feels bad for how he treated you.
"Okay, but tell me what's wrong." You stand your ground, stepping out of his grip, with arms crossed as you meet his gaze. In the silence of the room, white noise provided by the AC, you can see and hear him gulp.
"Y-you still want me right? Like to date me?" As he says this, he is unable to meet your gaze, eyes projected onto the floor. Your lips part softly, regret eating it's way through you since you basically yelled at him for an insecurity he has.
"Zabdi, of course. Why would you think I didn't? Is it because I've been spending so much time with the other boys?" You ask, and immediately his eyes meet yours, giving you your nonverbal answer.
"Oh my god, are you jealous?" Immediately, his cheeks are flaming red, just like they used to do every time you looked at him when you first were an intern there.
"Zabdi!" You say laughing causing him to turn away from you. A giggle escapes your lips as you walk around to face him, hooking your arms around his neck.
"Don't be jealous! You're the only one that I want. I promise you. Trust me, I wouldn't be risking the best job I've ever had over it if I didn't want you so much." This seems to satisfy him. Instead of a verbal response, he presses his lips against yours.
It's been days since you kissed him, but man it still awakens something in you every time. It's like fire running through your veins, making your knees feel like they may collapse at any second. The kiss itself isn't a makeup kiss, well at least it doesn't feel like it, but it gives you some kind of safety and security, knowing that this man is it for you. There's no other person in the world that you'd rather be in the arms of at the moment, and little do you know, there's no other girl Zabdiel would rather be holding.
When your lips finally detach, you smile up at each other happily.
"I'm sorry for getting jealous. I know I shouldn't, but I don't want to lose you." Your smile grows even wider, if that's possible, causing Zabdiel's to grow as well. It seems you both hold each other's happiness in each other's hands, yet, you wouldn't have it any other way.
"You're the only man in the world that has my heart, and I don't want it back anytime soon."
