Chapter 39

Dove POV

"Hey Sof, how wa-woah woah hey calm down! What's happened?"

I felt my blood run cold at her words. Y/N was on his way to the hospital? And he was unconscious? As if his life wasn't complicated enough already.

"Okay okay please just focus on Y/N. Are you sure you're okay going with him in the ambulance? I'll call his dad and tell him to meet you there. Text me when you get there and we will all meet you" I say before I hang up. I just need a second to get my thoughts together.

"Mum, I'm just popping to the hospital to see Y/N and his family. I'll grab some food when I'm there" I yelled as I grabbed my keys and practically ran to my car. I knew something like this would happen. I knew he wasn't looking after himself and now hes ended up in the hospital. I know hes trying to be strong for everyone else but just you wait Y/N. Ill tell you exactly what I think of this!

No no. Calm Dove. He needs love and support- not crazy bitch Dove. Just breathe...better. The drive isn't that far but I do need to prepare myself for what im about to tell his parents. Ooowwww why did he have to do this? I called his dads number through Bluetooth and waited for him to pick up.

"Hello, Dove? Everything alright?" I can feel myself internally cringe at the fact hes the one asking me if im okay yet im the one with the bad news.

"Ye-yeah hi Max. Im really sorry to bother you I know youre waiting to hear from the doctor with Jacobs results. I just wondered if you had heard from Y/N at all?"

Silence. That's not good?

"Dove, I think you need to have a chat with him. He was meant to be going home but he hasn't spoken to us since he left the hospital. We got Jacobs results back and there was a lot to process and he got a bit upset. Whats wrong Dove? Is everything alright?" I felt my heart plummet at that. A lot to process? That's never good. What have you done Y/N? Whatever the doctor says, we are all here for you.

"Dove?"

Oh right.

"Yeah sorry I was just listening. Max im really sorry to have to tell you this of all times but I think theres been some sort of accident. Sofia just called me to say that Y/N was being taken to the hospital. Im not sure what happened but she called an ambulance and was going with him. Her parents were following her there. I told her to text me when she arrives and we will all meet them there. Im just pulling up outside now"

I heard him sigh down the phone and my heart broke for them. This is hard enough for them all already how could it possibly get worse.

"ok thank you Dove. Ill let Elle know and we will meet you now" he said before he hung up. Probably not the safest thing to do but I just pulled into the first space I saw and jumped out the car. I can see them walking through the entrance now, looking like they could both just breakdown from stress. I jogged over to them and was enveloped into a hug by Y/Ns mum.

"What happened do you know?" she said as she let go and clung back to the side of her husband. She looked so exhausted; dishevelled almost. I could tell she had been crying too.

"Im not sure, Sofia didn't manage to say much on the phone but she said that he just collapsed and they called the ambulance straight away. She insisted on going in it with him so he wasn't alone" I said as I felt my phone go off in my pocket. Just on cue as we hear the ambulance sirens approach the hospital. I feel myself begin to shake, fear and anxiety settling in. But I just have to take a deep breath. Im not alone, we are at the best place for him and right now his parents need all the support they can get. I open the message from Sofia and reply to tell her we will meet her round the side at the ambulance entrance. Her parents will have to meet us there when they have parked. God I hope her dad isn't here.
