Braden Burke was a high school senior who recently had to move. His mom got new job. It wasn't the first time he moved. He moved when he was three because of her job. Then another because of the divorce and her job. Braden was unpacking his stuff and sits on the bed. He sees his mom come in and sighed ..
"Baby I promise you for real it's the last time we're move she said
Braden looked up and pouted, "mom you saud that last time" Braden moaned
I know but you can do it . Finish up and go check out the neighborhood she said
"Fine" Braden said
As his mom leaves Braden gets up and finished unpacking. He grabs his phone and goes to check out the neighborhood. He sees a group of kids playing a pick up game of basketball.
"Hi im uh Braden Im new in town. Mind if I join you guys" he asked
"Sure, Im Alex, this Logan, Trevor, Adam, Cody, Mason, Brandom issaiah, Jack, Kyle, Matt, and Foster" Alex said
Braden texts his mom
B- Hey, Ill be home later playing a game of basketball with some of the neighborhood kids
M- Ok let me know when youre on your way home, AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW you made friends
Braden turned red and smiled as two more come
"Whose the tall white guy" Connor said before being slapped upside the head by Matt
"Connor! How dare you, Connor , Jack this is Braden, he is new in town" Matt said
"Sorry! I'm Connor and this is Jack" Connor said
"Its ok" Braden said
"Guys, I have to go study for that chemistrey test we have " Drew said grabbing his stuff
After the game Connor and Braden walk home from the park.
"So, where did you more from" Connor asked
"Ypslilanti" Braden said as they walk
"So, you planning on trying out for the basketball team" Connor asked
Braden nodded as Connor smiled and walked the rest way home. Braden smiled walks home and runs in to someone.
"Im so sorry" Braden said
"Its ok I wasnt paying attenrion where I was going" the girl said
"I'm Braden, I'm new in town" he said
"So your my new neighbor, I'm Shawna" she said
"So uh will you show me around school tommrow" Braden asked nerveous
"Yeah, after school ill take you around town to" Shawna smiled as she put her number in his phone
"So uh see you tommrow" Braden said smiling
"Yeah why doesnt your family come over for dinner after school " Shawna asked
"We;d like that" Braden said
They spart ways. Braden gets home and smiled . He saw his mom and smiled.
"Did you have fun " she asked
"Yeah and we have a dinner date with the neighbors tommrow" Braden said
"Good, now go upstairs and get ready for bed. You have a busy day tommrow"
Braden nods and goes upstairs. He sees Shawna dancing in her window and smiled. She turns around and sees him watching and smiled. He went to bed knowing that he going to see his crush tommrow
