What seemed to be...wasn't.What we thought was just...a joke, wasn't.What seemed to be just a nightmare, wasn't. We couldn't wake up.
Whatever we did, we deserved it. Whatever we did, God intended it. If there even is a god. We never knew these people, what special thing did we have to do with them?
What reason is there?"Eva...EVA!" Troy snapped his finger in front of a sleeping Eva McQueen's face, they were at a mall. Eva shot up awake.
"H-Huh...?" Eva mumbled, tired. Troy raised an eyebrow.
"Why the hell were you asleep? We have to keep an eye on Gia!" Troy snapped. Eva rolled her eyes.
"Fuck off..." Eva flipped off Troy. Troy growled, grabbing Eva's hand, which Eva began being dragged over to where Gia was, Hot Topic. With Gia was a girl Troys age. Blonde hair, porcelain skin, and blue eyes.
"Sadie!" Troy exclaimed, letting go of Eva's hand, walking over to his girlfriend. Sadie kisses Troys cheek.
"It's so tiring finding new clothes when it's literally a week away from the first day of 6th gradeeee," Sadie whined, and Troy chuckled. Gia made a little face and then looked at Troy.
"Is your dad gonna let us joy-ride in his police car again?" Gia asked. Troy sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yes and no...it's actually just a 'more up for debate' kinda of thing, my mom is still pissed that my dad did that in the first place," Troy explained. Eva looked at Troy with a soft expression.
"Your mom puts a bit too much restrictions for you huh? What about Rebecca?" Eva asked.
"Rebecca is just free to do whatever, when I am the one stuck with all this damn responsibility..." Troy mumbled. He cared for Rebecca, his little sister, but he hated the favoritism.
Gia rolled her eyes and then walked off, not having much consideration for the conversation. "Aaandd....there she goes," Sadie sighed. Troy nodded, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"It is honestly just sad that she acts like a hyper kid. Hyper and immature...." Troy mumbled. Eva nodded, but only reluctantly. She just...kinda felt bad for Gia.
"I'll be walking home, how about you?" Sadie asked Eva.
"I'll just call my mom. I don't think she wants me to be alone with you guys after what had happened at the last time..." Eva mumbled.
"Yeah she also shot that vending machine too..." Troy added, honestly disgusted with Gia.
And then the two separated.
The next day Eva and Troy were the only ones in the mall that had met up. "Isn't Sadie supposed to be here?" Eva asked, turning to the brunette. Troy raised an eyebrow.
"Mmm...Gia I heard was gonna be coming late. I don't really know about Sadie," Troy replied. "She's...probably fine. It's Sadie"
"Your...girlfriend." Eva blinked. Troy then turned red a little.
"A-Ah...yeah..." Troy mumbled, his body language suddenly screaming nervous. Then he got serious again and then looked around. "It is weird she isn't here. She sometimes is here, bu-" Troy was cut off.
"Aaah! I'm so sorry!" Sadie ran up to the two. "I felt like I was being watched. Or more likely, followed. I had to take a different path, first delaying my usual time I take to get here" She wasn't lying. Sadie was frightened.
Troy and Eva's eyes widened. "My god...are you okay?" Troy asked, pulling Sadie into a hug.
Sadie nodded. "I am...now..." Her body language eased.
"AHAHAAHAHAHA! HEY BITCHES!" Gia yelled, running over. Eva's eyes lit up.
"Gia! Where were you?" Eva asked.
Gia then made a mischievous smirk. "I was at the gun store. I wanted to buy this gun, this lady was saying 'No you are too young' by then I started getting snippy so she got snippy. Two adults had to separate us before I gotten into a fight with what seemed to be a girl in her 20's," Gia explained.
Troy sighed, smiling at Gia, but still outworldly dissapointed. "I don't think I would have liked the outcome of that..." Troy mumbled. Sadie laughed.
"Our parents would be planning our funeral, it's almost funny," Sadie remarked, just being happy.
The four began exploring the store, Sadie and Gia separated, Troy and Eva alone. The two were searching in a gamestop store. "Its almost kinda bizarre what Sadie said..." Eva mumbled, the thought of what she said still in her head. Troy sighed.
"I get that...it's just...kinda sad actually...I don't want anything bad happening to any of you guys, even Gia, as much as I seem to get annoyed by her. Gia is still someone dear to me" Troy said.
Eventually the two walked out out of the store and back into the crowd of people. Eventually things getting a bit dense and crowded, Eva and Troy blindlessly crowdsurfing, making it to the area where it had a back room. For a brief moment there was a light flickering, a shadow being mauled.
The two quickly dismiss the sight and continue to try and crowd surf. Throughout their time just looking around they notice something very wrong. People were running. "Hey...hey troy..." Eva began tugging at Troys arm. Troy stopped at what he was doing and looked at the same direction Eva was. There was people running.
The two looked at eachother and then began walking, past the chaos, wondering what this specific thing people were running from. In the tight crowd Eva and Troy walked past crying teenagers, hysterical. Families desperately trying to calm their younger children. Eva and Troy eventually made their way to the back room. The same place they had saw the flickering light.
Out of all the doors, the particular door that stroke odd was a closed door, seemed to be forced shut, but it had a little space, and it's flickering light. It was like they were called to that specific door. Eva and Troy gave eachother one last glance before proceeding past that door and walking downstairs, an unfamiliar smell hitting their noses.
"Ew...what the hell?" Troy held his nose, waving his hand around. Eva ignored the stench and then proceeded to explore the place. The floor was dirty. Everything was dirty. What seemed to be flickering was a flashlight. Eva picked up the flashlight and turned it off, or at least attempted. The flashlight just wouldn't turn off. Then there was the sound of Troy, falling on his rear end, a loud thud occuring. Eva turned to Troy.
Troy, with a shaky finger, pointed to a bag. Eva walked over to the bag. Blood pooled at the top. Eva slowly opened the bag, what slid out was a lung. Eva gasped. She then mustered more courage and then opened the bag even further. There was body parts and organs in there, what was missing was a torso. The head showed as clear as day. It was Sadie. Eva then threw the flashlight aside, ignoring her bloodied up hands, grabbing Troys wrist and running upstairs with him, back to the now empty mall, running out.
Gia probably somehow made it out anyway.
The two ran and ran as far as they could until they were behind an empty store. Troy and Eva collapsing on the ground, out of breath.
"Why...." Troy panted. "Why....what......why....who........" He then let out a bloodcurling scream, only leaving Eva to stare at the boy in pure grief.
That was Sadie. She is dead, no bringing her back.
