heaven is a place on earth,
chapter three!
"y/n wake up!" my mom yelled to me. "what is it?" i asked her with grogginess in my voice. "you have to do your interview today!" she said trying to remind me. "okay. let me get ready." i replied, before, sitting up on my bed, and, standing up. "i'll be downstairs." she said, before, walking out; closing the door behind her.
i walked over to my bathroom and opened the door. i stopped for a second, so i could lean my head against the door frame; i then, walked in, so i could shower. i turned on the water and adjusted it, so it was just the right temperature; i put my hand in, so i could make sure it was the temperature that i like. once, it was how i liked it, i pulled my oversized shirt over my head, and, slipped off my underclothes; my black calvin klein set fell to the floor, and, i stepped into the shower, letting the water relax my body.
i stood in the shower for a few minutes; allowing the water to hit my delicate skin. "hey alexa." i said, hearing a noise after; indicating that alexa was working. "play, somebody else, by the 1975." i requested; hearing the song start playing shortly after. i smiled a little bit to myself, "so i heard you found somebody else." i sang along with the song while grabbing my washcloth and wetting it. "i took all my things that make sounds, the rest i can do without." i sang while, grabbing the pearl colored dove soap bottle. "i don't want your body, but i hate to think about you with somebody else." i was jamming along to song, as i rubbed the smooth washcloth against my skin.
"our love has gone cold, you're intertwining your soul with somebody else." i sang while, the soap glided across my body leaving an array of bubbles on me. "i'm looking through you, while you're looking through your phone, and, then leaving with somebody else." i rubbed the last part of my body with the lavender blush terrycloth. i put the smooth material under the water, and, rung it out. once, all of the soap was out of the cloth, i put it on the silver shower shelf that was clinging to the wall like a monkey on a tree. i bobbed my head to the song, as i swayed my body.
i stepped under the water, and, allowed it to remove all of the soap from my body. once all of the soap was washed off, i grabbed the shampoo off of the shower shelf. i pulled the lid, and, was immediately greeted with scent of jasmine and citrus; it smelled like heaven on earth. i squeezed the pastel yellow liquid onto my hands, and, rubbing them together. i put my hands in my hair, and, started to massage the shampoo into it. after about 3 minutes, i stopped, and, rinsed it out. "wow; my hair smells amazing!" i said, chuckling at the end.
i grabbed my conditioner which also smelled of jasmine, and, started the process again. after about 5 minutes, i rinsed it out. i stood under the water for about 5 more minutes, before, i finally put my hand on the silver shower head, and, stepped out of the off white, marble, brick shower; onto the pale dagwood colored mat. i grabbed my towel, and, dried off, before, wrapping myself in it. i walked into my room, and, walked over to my huge closet.
