"You're going"
"No I'm not"
"Yes"
"No"
"You are going ok! You need to live a little." My best friend sighed, digging through her closet.
And I don't mean neatly at all. Our mini flat was in a hot mess. Clothes (hers) were thrown all over and there's a pizza box and Coke cans (us) scattered all over the floor.
"Em there's a new episode of vampire diaries airing tonight and I rather watch that than be cooped up in a club with sweaty a.ss people grinding like there's no tomorrow." I said picking up the cans and throwing them in the trash bag in my hand.
Don't get me wrong I am a partier but probably it's because I haven't gone in a while I'm not as interested as before.
"Noo you don't! Firstly, you can watch vampire diaries another time like i dont know... online" she began emphasizing on the word online.
"Plus Abbs you haven't gone clubbing in a long time." Emma finished, turning her body so that she was starring directly at me.
She was trying to do this puppy dog thing that neverr works on me. But she was right I haven't gone to a club in a while and maybe just this once I can have some fun and she was right I can watch my episode online.
"Fine b-" I started
"YeS! Thank God." She grinned clasping her hands together and going back to her closet. She claimed she was cleaning out her closet. Throwing away or donating clothes she didn't need.
"Hold up fam. I'm going yes, but if I am ready to leave. I am ready to leave Emma." I said narrowing my eyes at her although her back was towards me.
"I'm serious, if you want to stay fine but just don't let what happened the last time, happen again." I said stifling a laugh at the memory.
"Fine fine, oh lord." She laughed, throwing one of her old dresses, hitting me in my face. I couldn't hold it in as I laughed when I saw her cheeks turning slightly red.
Oh em.
Emma and I were best friends for as long as I can remember. We're now young adults living together and she was working at some magazine company and me, at a Top Model Fashion company.
It was Friday and Emma insisted that we go clubbing.
We've been working our a.sses off this entire week. Both complaining that our jobs can be pretty frustrating at times. The only difference is that she hates her boss.Picking up the last Coke can and throwing it in the trash, my phone started blasting my Chris Brown ringtone. I picked it up, answered and went into the kitchen.
"Hello."
"Abby honey, I need you to come down to a celebration party I'm having tonight." My boss, Mitchell, told me through the silver device.
"Mitchell, I had plans tonight."
Mitchell was a really cool boss and all of his employees liked how he treated us acknowledging everyone's ideas in a subtle manner.
Whether the ideas were terrible he wouldn't boldly tell them that. Mitchell was almost 55 and he looked quit good for an old man."Please Abby, this is very important and I want my advisors to see one of my best." He spoke d on the line.
I sighed not wanting to leave Emma alone at the club but this was my boss and I still had to fulfill my work duties.
"Fine, text me the directions and the time ok."
"Je vous aime. Merci Abby, à bientôt !" Yea he spoke french too.
To be honest I was really excited to go clubbing tonight and Mitchell just had to invade.
I hung up placing my phone in my pocket. Taking out a pack of potato chips from the kitchen cabinet and a Sprite from the fridge, I went to speak to Emma.
"Hey em." I said opening the door to our room. It was now entirely clean from her clothes, that were now in boxes.
"Yea." She said looking up from her phone. She was laying on her bed typing rather quickly.
"Mitch called and he insisted that I come to his celebration party tonight." I told her sadly while plopping a chip in my mouth.
"What! Please tell me you're joking? Are you using this as a option to get out of clubbing?" She said resting her phone down on the bed, starring at me now.
"No, I wouldn't do that. I agreed to go didn't I." Sipping on my Sprite now. "I even told him I had plans, he said it was really important."
"Ugh fine." She groaned. "But you better bring back an entire lobster and chocolate covered strawberries for me." She grinned, going back to her cell phone.
Mitchell really did have some grand food at his celebrations. Pros of going.
"I'll try." I chuckled going into my closet to find something for tonight. Praying it won't be as boring. I sat my back pressed against the headboard as I turned on the television set watching whatever was showing.
Few minutes into the show, I was still lost and decided on turning it off. I grabbed my laptop from on the floor and streamed 'Little People.' That show honestly cracked me up.
For the rest of the evening until it was time for me to get ready I watched episodes of Little People.
