Evia POV

I woke up and rolled out of bed like every single other day. It was about twenty minutes before I would have to be in the school or I would be marked tardy. I honestly hated it there.

Strict dress codes. Mean teachers. Mean kids. Nasty food. Nasty building. Everything seemed to fucking suck. But little did I know how much I would wish life would go back to that nasty schedule.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I threw on some black leggings and a PINK sweatshirt with some pink crocs.

I saw my mom still at home... it was odd. She is charge of an Elementary school she should had left by now.

She had the news blasting on in the kitchen as she made her coffee for the day. I grabbed a water and on the way out I heard a little more about the corona virus.

I had heard a bit of chatter at work and started washing and sanitizing my hands a lot but i didn't think it was that serious to panic about.

I hopped in my black car, the love of my life, and drove to Hell.

I parked next to my four best friends.

Holly, a skinny blonde haired and blue eyed beauty, she is my very best friend. I used to hate her for a while in middle school but we have gotten closer throughout the years.

Mia, a beautiful Carmel skinned angel, we had been friends since the 3rd grade and she was basically family.

Kylie, my gorgeous sister. Not literally but I've known her since I was five and we grew up right next to each other as neighbors.

And Gianina, we had been cool since middle school but got close when we were dating our exes. They both turned out to be pieces of shit and we bond over our pain and turned out really close in the end.

We walked in together not saying much. None of them are morning people except Gia. But even she had a certain drag to her today.

We walked in the school and teachers were in a sense preparing for school to be shut down.

It was a rough day. No one really knew what was gonna happen next. It was a mystery to everyone. The halls were almost silent. I felt like I was in an alternate reality.

My teachers started cramming shit into our brains as if we were gonna remember all that.

I finally got to my last class of the day, art. My favorite yet my least favorite.

"Alright y'all so hear me out", my art teacher said at the front of the room.

"The governor and our president-"

"FUCK HIM", I heard at the back of the class.

I chuckled a little to myself. I don't like to get in trouble in art, she writes people up as if she gets a prize at the end of every day.

"We're having an assembly, they have decided to shut down all of Virginia and do an experiment, which i can't share my personal opinions with you just yet but seniors your in for what I feel is a bitter sweet deal", she said.

A bitter sweet deal... what is she talking about.

I texted in our friend group chat but no one had replied.

The bell rand and I would usually have the last two periods freed and I would go home but all seniors were instructed to head to the main gym.

As I walked down the hallways alone the chatter of kids got louder and louder. I'm talking louder than I've ever even heard on a normal day.

I turned the corner and bam.... at least 3,000 kids trying to pack into our gym.
