When she was nine years old she became interested in musical theater and performed in four Berks Youth Theater Academy productions. She usually traveled to New York for vocal and acting lessons. She later focused in country music inspired by Shania Twain songs. She spent her weekends by performing in local festivals and events. After watching Faith Hills documentary she became sure that she needed to go to Nashville Tennessee to pursue her music career. When Swift was eleven she traveled with her mother to visit Nashville Record labels and submitted a demo tape of Dolly Parton and Dixie Chicks karaoke covers and she was rejected.
