Chapter 1: Studies and Romance, mix?

Somewhere between 2012 and 2013 (during their 2nd year high school stint)

Alexa had just arrived home from school.
At Alexa's house
Alexa: Mommy, daddy, I'm back!!
(Blesses Martha and Alberto)
Martha: Alexa anak, mabuti na nakauwi ka na agad. Tutal naman, how's school?
Alexa: Well, ayos naman, mommy! May good news ako sa inyo.. ka- grupo ko na sina Gio sa report namin sa Science this Friday.
Martha: Huh? Talaga??
Alexa: Opo naman!
Alberto: Yan ang good news! Ok, basta, galingan ninyo sa report, ha?
Alexa: (nods) Opo naman, daddy! Thank you!

3 days later in school...
The report of Alexa, Gio, Melanie, and Katrina had just gone well. Alexa's group and their report were praised by their classmates and Science teacher, Ma'am Ella.
In Alexa's classroom
(Everyone claps their hands)
Ms. Ella: (claps her hands) Good job! Good job, Alexa, Gio, Melanie, and Katrina!! What a wonderful report you guys did. You may now take a seat.
(Alexa's group went back to their respective seats)

When Alexa was about to go back to her seat, she almost slipped with a banana peel onto the floor. Good thing, she was saved by her classmate and friend, Gio (that the destiny had just happened coincidently and unintentionally).
Gio: Alexa, okay ka lang ba?
Alexa: (Alexa nods).. opo!

During lunch time, some of their classmates were having a chismis regarding a destiny between Gio and Alexa that happened awhile ago after their group report in Science.
In the canteen
Classmate 1: Uuy!! Mukhang may crush pala si Alexa kay Gio, hindi po ba?
Classmate 2: Oo nga! Nagkataon lang yun, noh? At that time pagkatapos niligtas siya ni Gio doon sa classroom natin. Muntik kaya siya nadulas sa banana peel kanina!

Gio and Alexa had just came by to their classmates' table.
Gio: Hi!
Classmates 1 & 2: Hello! Bakit?
Gio: Pinag- uusapan niyo kami ni Alexa, noh??
Classmate 3: Aba! Hindi ha!
(Gio puts down a tray of his lunch onto the table.)
Gio: Hoy! Don't tell a lie, guys. Magsabi  kayo ng totoo. Totoo ba na pinag- usapan niyo kami ni Alexa?? Narinig kaya namin kayo!
Classmate 2: Oo! Totoo nga. We were talking about you and Alexa.
Classmate 3: Siguro naman may crush pala kayo ni Alexa sa isa't isa.
Gio: Crush?? Hindi ha! We're just friends kaya, diba Alexa?
(Alexa nods)

After that, Gio and Alexa had just started to eat lunch.
Gio: Alexa, I'm sorry kung nasabi ko yun na hindi tayo crush sa isa't isa. Sana naman, hindi ka masasaktan. Diba we're friends?
Alexa: (nods) Opo naman! Okay lang
Gio: Alexa, pagpasensyahan mo muna sila, ha? Mga chismoso kasi sila.
Alexa: (laughs) Okay lang yun!

On the next Monday during PE time, Alexa didn't expect that her partner in their badminton game is Gio.
In the school's gym
Alexa: Yay!! Magkapartner na tayo
(Alexa and Gio apired with each other)

While Alexa, Gio, and two of their classmates/playmates had just started to play badminton, some of their classmates were cheering Alexa and Gio. They still felt nakikilig on the two.

At Alexa's home
Martha: Uh.. Alexa! Mabuti na nandito ka
Alexa: Opo nga, mommy! Good afternoon po (Blessed Martha and Alberto)
Martha: Kamusta school?
Alexa: (laughs) Ayos naman po, mommy!
Alberto: Mukhang pagod na pagod yang anak natin ah.
Martha: Alberto, nag- PE kasi sila kanina. Kaya't nakikita natin na napapagod at minsan napapawisan din sila, diba?
(Alberto nods)
Martha: Oh Alexa, magbihis ka muna.
Alexa: Opo, mommy! (leaves the living room & went upstairs)

After Alexa went upstairs to dress herself up, her parents (Martha and Alberto) started to make kachismisan or gossips about the romantic tandem between Gio and Alexa.
Alberto: Teka.. si Alexa ay may Gio na pala siya!
Martha: Oh my gosh! (laughs) Baka naman may crush si Alexa kay Gio, noh?
Alberto: Pwede naman (laughs). Pero, hindi nga ba na magkaibigan pa lang sila?
Martha: B, b.. baka! Let's try to ask her kaya later.
Alberto: She shouldn't tell us na may boyfriend na siya.
Martha: Bakit naman?
Alberto: Kasi ang bata- bata pa nila, noh? At tsaka isa pa.. mga 2nd year high school pa lang sila. That's why, no boyfriend first si Alexa.
Martha: Opo nga, Alberto! I agree with you naman. So if Alexa wants to have a boyfriend, dapat may self- discipline siya at dapat din maging handa siya.
Alberto: Oo (nods)! I get your point.
