I was softly humming along to the nostalgic song, trailing behind Damon and Bonnie who were fighting once again. This time, it was about who should be pushing the stupid shopping cart. Are they sure they aren't toddlers?
"I got it" I hear Damon grumble, pushing Bonnie's arms away from the cart.
"Okay" Bonnie sighs defeatedly and grabs the shopping list from inside the cart.
I sigh too, rubbing my forehead. I fasten my pace a little to walk between the fighting duo, craning my neck a little to see what was on the list Bonnie holds. "What do we need?" I question.
Bonnie looks around the aisle. "We need strawberries, eggs, milk and oh! candles" she replies smiling, spotting some candles ahead of us. She grabs some candles from the shelf next to her, placing them in the cart. I frown, looking at her. I open my mouth to ask why we would need candles, because technically none of us were able to do magic, but Damon beat me to that.
"I know it's been a while, but you couldn't do magic as an anchor. — So, I'm curious what momentary lapse of reason makes you think you can do it now?" He asks Bonnie. I purse my lips and I sigh once again, glancing between them.
"You know, when all of this started you sucked at making pancakes." Bonnie says pointing at Damon. "Now they're somewhat edible... Oh look! Milk." Bonnie adds and smiles.
Damon smiles mockingly at us and sighs, turning the cart around the corner into another aisle.
"There's no reason to be Peter Pessimist Damon" I say somewhat accusingly, leaning against some freezers with my arms crossed.
"Yeah" Bonnie agreed. "We have proof we're not alone" she says, putting some sunglasses from a rack she found on her head. I bite my lip, hoping the person didn't see me siphoning my necklace. If they did, I would have to deal with the possibility of my secret being exposed and I'm so not ready for that.
"First of all, don't nickname" Damon says snapping me out of my thoughts, placing the jerrycan of milk in the cart. "That's my thing." He adds, pointing at himself while glancing at me. I roll my eyes and push myself off the freezer. I trail behind Damon, who was walking towards Bonnie.
"And this proof" he says, snatching a pair of sunglasses from Bonnie's hands, putting them on the bridge of his nose. "This mysteriously filled-in crossword could very easily have been either of you." Damon adds, glaring at us.
