"Are you sure you'll be fine?", my dad asked me, as he parked in the parking lot of Good Dreams Hotel

"Yes I'm sure Dad.", I replied to my dad, peering out my window at the hotel.

"Ok. Goodbye, remember to leave your phone on. I'll pick you up tomorrow.", my dad responded.

             "Alright.", I answered.

I grabbed my things, and got out of the car. The minute I walked inside I was amazed.

The hotel was beautiful, elegant to be exact. There was intricate designs of animals, and symbols engraved in the walls. I had no idea what the symbols meant, but they still intrigued me.

"Can I help you?", a woman at the desk asked me.

Her hair was black, long, and sleek. Her skin was almost as white as a slip of paper.

"Yes I wanted to rent a room for one night.", I told the woman.

"That'll be ten dollars.", she answered.

I grabbed a ten dollar bill from my pocket, and handed it to the woman.

"Right this way.", she said, as she lit two candles, and handed me one.

I held the candle the woman gave me. I followed her down a dark hallway, (which made realize why we needed the candles)  until she stopped at a room.

"This will be your room.", the woman told me, handing me the room key.

I unlocked the door, and stepped inside

The room was fairly clean, a bit dusty. I glanced back into the hallway, and noticed something peculiar. I didn't see any candle light, not even a glimpse of bright orange-yellow flame. It took me a moment to realize that the woman must have vanished gone, like a ghost. I knew there was no way she blew out the candle either, since there was no way she could see where she was going, at least not in the pitch black hallway. I shuddered at the thought. I figured I just couldn't see the candle flame, after all I was tired. I just shrugged it off, and shut my door.

I took my coat off, and hung it on the coat rack. I placed my shoes, and luggage next to the coat rack. Looking at my watch I figured out it was 10:00 pm. I needed to go to sleep. I pulled back the covers on the bed, and was greeted with a cloud of dust.

"Ughh.", I said, after being slapped in the face, by a cloud of dust.

I got in bed, and fell asleep fast.

"Chh, chh.", I was awakened by the sound of scratching. I got out of bed, and turned on the bedside lamp. It took awhile for my eyes to adjust to the light. I peered down at my watch, which read 10:35 pm. I had only bed asleep for 35 minutes.

"First the woman disappears in thin air, now scratching!? What's next!?", I thought to myself.

I followed where I heard the scratching. Turns out it was coming from the closet.

"Great out of anywhere it could be coming from, it had to be the closet.", I muttered.

I had to investigate though. I let my curiosity get the best of me. I let my hand drift towards the shiny, gold doorknob. Realizing I was making the horror movie mistake, I drew my hand back.

"What could possibly be in there?", I asked myself.

After I managed to muster up the courage to open the door, I closed my eyes and quickly opened the door.
