Mushrooms

I think a lot about mushrooms, I don't know if anyone can relate to this, but I find them quite fascinating! Fungi are very strange to me, and they intrigue me to no end. We were going over them in biology before everything was shut down due to the sudden outbreak of covid-19, and it was my favorite part of the whole class. I was hyper focused on learning everything I could about them. Apparently I was too interested in them, the teacher told me to take a chill pill and think about the other kingdoms and not just these alien-like creatures. I can't help but think about how there's probably a whole forest over run with the fruits and miles of hyphae of some of my favorite creatures, devouring the living and dead trees and animals, decomposing them to feed themselves and the habitat they occupy. Me, decomposing, feasted upon by the freaks of nature I adore. Maybe one day I could live the life I fantasize of.
