"And you're listening to 93.5, the Rad. Thanks for tuning in today. Tomorrow I'll have a special guest for you guys. Until then, here's a play-list submitted by Isabella the Great." I smiled at my reflection in the glass. My light purple hair was curled to perfection, and my makeup was really bright and perfect as well. I pushed the microphone down, and made my way out of the booth.
If you hadn't noticed, I work at my very own Radio Station at my dad's work. He signs record labels for almost every single band out there, and works with them to get better known. Bradly Stetson is his name.
I am Codie Stetson, and i am 19 years old. Well, I'm better known as The Scene Queen. Totally lame, right? Some fan forever ago when i was still working on my laptop in my room gave me that title when i posted a picture of myself up on the website. I guess it stuck.
"Totally great show." My 'manager' Avery said to me. She was only three years older than me, and i considered her my long lost sister. Ever since i first came in about a year ago, she's shown me the ropes.
"Whatever. It's the same as every day." I say, making her chuckle. I walk over to the refrigerator, and grab an AriZona. I open it, and take a drink.
"You never found out who the special guest is, did you?" Avery says. She starts clapping up and jumping up and down when i shake my head no. I raise my eyebrows, and she continues.
It takes her five minutes to calm down.
"ONE DIRECTION IS COMING." She screams, making me roll my eyes.
"No, they aren't. This is like that time you told me All Time Low was coming to my show and I cried cause you were lying." She frowns at my words. I take a drink of my tea, and set it down.
"I'll just go ask my dad." I get up, and walk out of my office space. I walk down the carpeted halls, looking for my dad. I reach his office, and knock on the door.
"Come on in." My dad's voice calls out, making me smile. Him and my mom split up like 4 years ago. She wasn't happy that he was never home doing something 'silly'. She was pissed when she found out he had basically started an amazing company and he became rich.
"Hey sweetie. Good show, i listen to it." He said, smiling at me. I love my dad because he didn't judge me when i walked down stairs with light purple hair. He gives me space, and he also gives the best advice ever.
"Thanks daddio." I said, plopping into the chair across from his dark brown wooden desk. I looked around his office, and smiled. He had posters of bands that have became really famous cause of him, pictures of him and the band he signs, and a picture of me and him in the park from about a week ago.
"Did Avery tell you that One Direction would be here tonight?" My dad said, bringing me back to reality.
"So, she wasn't lying this time?" I asked him, making him shake his head.
"She's not lying. Simon called me last night and said that the boys needed some kind of way to get some more publicity over here." Bradley said, waving his hand in the air. I smiled. I forgot to mention that my dad was best friend with Simon Cowell, didn't I? They met when my dad was in Britain before i was born.
"Oh. Sweetie, they're gonna be here soon. So, get the spare bedrooms at the house ready." My dad said, when i got up after he had went quiet. He was flipping through what looked like a portfolio for some new band he was working on.
