Name. Ugg. Lauren. Last name. Tripoly. I glance out into the city. The blinding lights and constant buzz disgust me. I would love to just escape from it all, but I can't. Everyone has tried, but everyone failed. Filling out paperwork is boring. I have to complete ten pages of the stuff just so I can become a boring repair technician. Then I need to take a pointless picture of my ugly blond hair and horrible face. It is all worthless, but I do it anyway.

After I pick up my work card at the front desk, I walk out the exit. The air smells of oil and the sky is black as it always is. I walk over to the nearest bench and sit down. "Hey, Lauren!" "Oliver?" "Yeah." "What are you doing here?" I ask. "I-I'm attending business." "Do you really think it's worth it, Oliver?" "What do you mean?" "I mean living. Do you think it's worth it?" "Lauren, are you serious? You can't really act like that. Thinking like is probably what makes everything seem so horrible." "You are probably right." "Well, I need to go. See you around." "Bye, Oliver."

I'm not sure how long it was before my eyes got droopy, but soon I found myself sound asleep.
