When the god of death arrived at the human dinner, he looked frantically around for his girlfriend. When he spotted her he relaxed a little and walked over to her in stride, "Why you always decide to come here I have no idea," He sat down across from her and smiled under the hood.
"Don't you just love seeing the humans here, dear? I sure do love seeing how they grow and learn." Phanes smiled at him softly, eyes shimmering with kindness and warmth.
He chuckled playfully at her words. To him humans were just mosquitoes to be squashed when they become too annoying, but if she liked them he'd tolerate them. "Phanes, I love spending time with you. It's the one thing that brings me joy in this world."
"I love spending time with you too, Phak." She leaned over the table and kissed him passionately. He kissed her back, feeling his heartbeat quickening from the feeling that washed over him. After a moment or two she pulled away, gaining a whimper from him. She giggled cutely at him. This was the happiest moment of their lives.
