Prologue

"I'm gay." I said, looking at the floor, not wanting to look at their expressions.
Everyone in the lunch hall gasped, and I heard the whispers, "The star basketball player is gay?"
I looked up at my friends. They looked at me with disgust. My best friend Derek said, "So you're a fag now? That's the most disgusting thing ever. Liking your own gender. You're going to hell. God made us to like different genders, not the same."
I looked at him in shock. The one person I could trust, was just like everyone else.
"I-I thought you guys would accept me. You all said that no matter what, things wouldn't change and we would still be friends.'
They all busted out laughing. Deuce, Derek's twin said "Why would we want to be friends with a fag? It's fair to say that we aren't trying to go to hell with you."
"Then I guess I don't have any real friends anymore." I said disappointed.
"Huh? What's this freak doing at our table Regi? Why is he talking to us?" Derek said with anger.
"Hmm..I don't know but he needs to leave before he gets his ass whooped." Regi said while glaring at me.
I whispered "Goodbye Regi, Deuce and Derek. T-This is it."
I walked out of the lunch hall in tears, regretting telling my friends my big secret.
