Nicole and Tara walk out of the car. Nicole all positive as always and Tara bitterly eyes the students around while walking faster than Nicole towards the college. They both enter the building and go different ways. Nicole stops and shouts to her beloved one "I'll see you". Tara side smiles quickly and while walking away waves backwards. Nicole smiles bigger yet shows off worried eyes and steps inside another classroom.
Meantime Tara stops outside of the usual classroom where she glances at a new teacher through the small window in the door and Liza stops behind her with a plaster over her scar. Liza with a tense smirk asks confidently "How was your weekend?". Tara sideyes her and turns around, facing her. Liza glances down on Taras lips, swiftly gulps down her lust and looks back on Taras eyes. Elizabeth continues with "That's the new biology teacher. The old one got fired, I think". Tara nods while eying Liza with her usual look and glances down on her covered up blue mark. Liza smiles bigger, sighs and kindly says "Don't worry. My da..." she stops her saying out of hesitation and restarts with the same smile on her face "He and his two fucked up puppets got what they deserved too". Tara swiftly says "You didn't deserve that". Liza's smile disappears and she with an apologetic look says "I told him that I fell for someone else. I stupidly described how you looked,..then his imagination blew up and he ....." Tara interrupts with a question "What kind of words did you use when describing me?". Liza smiles yet again, out of sudden shyness and glances on the curious teacher inside the classroom. She drags Tara by her hand away from the door, to the side.
They continue standing close while facing each other. Elizabeth then replies to Tara's question "It doesn't matter". Tara nods again and Liza asks out of curiosity "May I ask how that old hag knew so much about your life?". Tara replies with a short smiles out of seeing Liza's curious eyes "The usual. Rumors, research etc". Elizabeth stares down on Taras smile and with a happier voice says "I am sorry for whatever you are experiencing or have". Tara replies with "You weren't the one causing it". Liza looks back up on her eyes and quotes "Adults...they hurt you, us and then they always act like you, we hurt them. That's pure bullshit, but that just how it is". Tara looks down on Liza's lips and Liza with pure love lust in her eyes confesses softly to Tara by saying "I did fall for you and still do like you a lot, but...", she stops for a second when feeling her pride in pain and ends the sentence with "-you love someone else". Elizabeth covers the sadness in her with a bigger smile, heads back to the door and turns to the still standing calm Tara following her with her eyes . She says "Reach out to me when Miss.Davis gets too boring or when I'll have to call you Tara Davis. Tara nods yet again with the same short smile on. Elizabeth continues "The way she looks and smiles at you is what gave it away. I'm pretty sure that you are everything to her". Tara glances away for a second and back on Liza, who opens up the door to the classroom and before she slams it shut, she adds "This school isn't for ...rare people. Please have fun somewhere else".
...
Hors later. When its darker outside due to the upcoming winter. The police station is louder than usual. More and more people pass Tara who just took a few steps inside the building with a calm facial expression. She walks towards Mr.Bim who speaks to another police officer next to him with laughter. Seconds by and the other police officer quickly leaves while Mr.Bim looks over on the patient Tara and speaks kindly "There is a lot of people, due to a surprise party outside in like two minutes for one of our colleagues. It's his birthday. There will be fireworks". Tara asks out of slight confusion "Isn't it too early?" and the police officer adds "Yes it is. But it is also really dark outside. And he likes fireworks". Tara nods again and Mr.Bim adds "And now I remembered that I'm the one who is managing the fireworks. So I'll be back soon. You can join us if you want". Tara replies calmly "I'm good".

Short StoryWeirdly accurate and modern. A story about a girl hurting, always and everywhere. Yet she doesn't care to show it or give the wanted theater about it on purpose. The love around her doesn't blind her, she blinds it instead.
