Francine saw her best friend huddled in her bed, crying. She went to her and hugged her.
“I’m sorry about earlier. I was not thinking of you. So I talked to my
adoptive parents and we have great news for you. They’re going to adopt you too! I told them that I don’t want to be adopted without you.”
Francine’s best friend could not believe it and she cried all the more-tears of joy this time around.
Francine cried with her and laughed at the same time, realizing how precious real friendship could be
