You woke up to Scooter shaking you and you guys went to the cafeteria where you saw the Ducks about to cry. You and Scooter ran over and asked what's wrong and they told you that Hans died. Hans was a family friend of your and Scooter family, so you hugged Scooter and started crying. The Ducks were confused so Scooter explained that Hans babysat you and your siblings a lot and taught you and Scooter how to skate before you guys moved when you were 12. You finished your classes and they went by really slowly, the Ducks tried to cheer you up so did the varsity team but it didn't work. You called your parents and told them everything but Scooter had to tell them half of it. They drove down as fast as they could. You asked Coach Peck to cancel practice because of it so she did and Coach Orion cancelled the Ducks practice since Scooter told him. Your parents and siblings showed up and you family and the varsity team went to the funeral. The varsity team didn't know Hans but they went anyway to help you and your family. Coach Bombay came and put his Ducks jersey on his casket. You and Scooter went to his dorm with your family because his roommate insisted on you guys sleep there and he slept in Cole's dorm. Your parents slept on Scooters bed while you and you siblings cuddled on his roommates bed.
