But soon you'll realize we hear them everyday,
disguised in song lyrics and TV shows somehow makes it Okay?
We try to cover up with "thank you's" and "god bless" but trust me,
that shit won't help us out of this mess.
A christian, an Atheist, a Muslim, a Jew, we turn our backs on so many, and open our arms to so few.
Why does our society feel the need to draw such lines, between genders, and races, we're held apart by tight bines.
And if we try to unite together, onlookers give us remarks to remember.
Teenagers who kill themselves, and slit their wrists. We say America equals freedom,
but what we need is freedom from this.
So how do we continue when all is lost?
We just remember to keep loving at whatever cost.
And as a great man named Martin once said some time ago:
"Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do so."
