Hermione had been having terrible stomach pains, hadn't been completing the work and had been very emotional these past 3 days.
She had no idea what was going on so She told Harry as she thought Ron would tease her so She said " Harry, could I talk to you? Privately please?" Harry and Ron looked very confused at this but Harry nodded and She dragged him out of the portrait hole and down to an empty classroom.
" I have... I don't know how to say this but..." Harry was still very confused "what is it hermione?" He seemed to be very concerned so she told him, " I have been having really bad stomach pains recently and it keeps getting worse and I can't concentrate on studying which is strange for me." Harry simply asked if She had been to madam pomfrey and She said no.
" you should go to tell her, she will know what to do." Hermione replied by saying " ok I will but do me a favour and don't tell Ron until I know what is happening to me?" Harry smiled a reassuring smile and said he would.
Harry thought it was really strange for hermione to act like that. He returned back to the common room and Ron immediately asked what it was and He said it was nothing because He wanted to keep hermione's secret.
As hermione was on my way to the hospital wing She suddenly felt pretty weak so She leaned against the wall for a bit until She felt better.
She told madam pomfrey what happened and she asked a strange question "Have you had a period before?" Hermione was confused as She knew what a period was as she had learnt about them in primary in the muggle world.
Later that day...
Hermione went to the toilet before bed and sure enough there was some blood in her underwear. She hurried straight to madam pomfrey and told her about the blood and she gave her some pads so She went back to the toilet and put one on trying to remember how to do it from when she learnt about it and after She managed to do it She went back to the common room with the rest of the pads but put them in my Pajama trousers. She must have looked very sad or confused because as soon as She got through the portrait hole, Harry came running and pulled her aside "Hermione are you ok? You look kind of lost?" She felt as though she had to tell him. " Harry, when I went to madam pomfrey earlier, she asked if I'd had a period before and I said no and didn't think much of it until I went to the bathroom to get ready for bed, then I realised she was right so I went back to her to get some supplies and I guess I was just shocked," Harry was understanding and gave her a hug and said that they didn't have to tell Ron if She didn't want to but She said they should as he was probably annoyed that they are keeping something from him. They both decided that they would tell him during the free period that they had the next day. (No pun intended)
