(So I'm surprised people like this shitty story or my shitty writing in general. I'll just keep on writing but I'll take my time and actually come up with ideas so it's at least half decent. Thank you to the people reading this, although it's just a few, it means a lot to me.)
~Kevin~
Last period was absolute hell.
Just, the worst.
Clyde asked to switch seats with the guy next to me, I don't fucking remember his name.
It was basically a free period so I had no excuse to make him go away from me. I know typically you want your crush to want everything to do with you but not me. I like admiring from a far, not all up close and personal like that.
Besides he JUST broke up with his girlfriend YESTERDAY! What the hell was he doing? He's just really infuriating, I hope this feeling goes away eventually.
He talked to me the whole period, as if we weren't about to hang out right after class.
So now here I am in his car, alone with him in his car. Craig was taking his own car and taking Tweek with him. I really wish they weren't, I needed Tweek here because I feel awkward being alone with Clyde. We walked here in silence, and we sat now in silence. I could tell he wanted to say something but he probably realized how awkward I felt and wasn't talking for my sake, which honestly made me a little happy, but that meant I had to start the conversation.
From what I know it's about a 20 minute drive so I didn't want to just sit in complete silence. "... Hey.. um,, Clyde..?" I muttered quietly, not even looking at him, fully aware of how awkward it sounded.
"Yeah?" He payed no mind to how awful my attempt to start the conversation was, I really love this guy.
I wanted to ask him why he seemed to have an interest in me. I'm definitely no Bebe. My body is not nice to look at, I have no fat or meat on my bones, and my personality itself is nothing like hers. But instead, I asked, "Um... c-can you put on some music?" Cringing at the stutter, I see his hand move swiftly towards the knob that controls the volume on the radio, and he turned it up. Some hip hop music playing, I'm not really surprised, but it's not my thing. At least it's better than silence.
He nods his head along to the music. There was no danger of him looking over at me so I stared at him, he began tapping his fingers on the steering wheel in sync with his bopping. He looks so unbelievably handsome, I can't take my eyes off of him.
I was wrong about there being no danger though, he looks over at me at a stop light, but I immediately look away from him. "I love this song." I can only picture the smile on his face, the same one always plastered right there on his handsome face. "I know this kind of music probably isn't your cup of tea though, want to listen to something else?"
I stay looking down at my lap as I respond. "No, no, this is fine." In all honesty, it wasn't the best sounding to my ears, but I could get behind the appeal of it. I need to extend my music beyond instrumental songs from movie soundtracks.
I'm willing to bet he nodded even though I'm not looking at him. I love him but I know he's not very smart.
He turned the music up some. It wasn't obnoxiously loud, but now if we were to speak with each other we'd have to raise our voices a little.
The silence between us felt a little awkward to me, but he didn't seem to be too bothered. Usually he's so talkative, perhaps he's bad at talking and driving at the same time.
Eventually, we made it to the pretzel place. He turns off the car which meant the music disappeared. The music honestly helped with the silence. "Alrighty, Kev, this is supposed to be a bomb ass pretzel place. People have been excited about this for months!" There's the Clyde Donovan I know.
