Chapter 3

I sat on the steps puffing out the smoke as I stared at the ground.

All your life you've been wondering about your parents than you finally find out your mother and she's dead, I thought.

Someone sat beside me as I looked to see Shawn.

"I don't always need to be good you know." I told him.

"I know." He said as I took another puff.

"I used to get in trouble a lot than Auggie saw me drinking and smoking than I figured out just because my parents are screw ups and couldn't even take care of me doesn't mean I need too."

"I didn't even know she got pregnant." Shawn said as my head snapped to him.

"What you didn't know she was, what do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean I'm your father." Shawn said as I laughed.

"Yeah right." I said putting out my smoke.

"Abigail I'm serious." Shawn said as I gulped.

I didn't say anything as I got up running inside.

Josh's POV:

Abigail ran into the apartment than went up to her room.

"Abigail are you alright?" I asked as she didn't respond.

Shawn came in as my blood boiled as I walked to him.

"What did you do to her!?" I asked as he stepped back.

"I was talking to her than I told her I'm her father, and why do you care?" He asked.

"Because I love her you idiot!" I told him.

"Your her uncle and your too young to know what love is." Shawn said as I laughed.

"At least I didn't abandon her like you, I know more about her than you'll ever will." I told him.

"That might be but I am her father and you will not date her or even look at her." Shawn said as I punched him.

"Joshua!" Mom yelled as Shawn held his jaw.

"He deserve it." I said and with that I went to Abigail's room.

She hid her face in her pillow as she cried.

My heart fell as I shut the door going towards the bed.

"Abigail babe?" I asked as she put her head up.

"Hey Joshy." She said wiping her eyes as she sat up.

"Hey come here." I said opening my arms as she threw herself at me.

"My mothers dead my uncles my father what else?" She asked.

"I can make it up to you, we should be moving here in two months maybe we could go on a date."

"Sure! I mean your moving here?" Abigail asked.

"Yeah my mom wants to move into the apartment upstairs." I said as she leaded over to kiss my cheek.

"Thank you for making me forget." Abigail said as I smiled leaning down to kiss her.

"Thank you now let's just kiss." I said as she leaned up to kiss me.
