Newt had no idea why he chose to get Chinese. But he did know that as soon as Thomas had uttered the words 'Rose Reserve' he had already left his apartment, running once again to Thomas, but this time knowing where he was heading. He and Minho used to play as kids in Rose Reserve, and Newt couldn't help but wonder if there was something pulling him and Thomas together. Newt laughed dryly to himself. Fate. How ridiculous that he was thinking that way. There was no such thing as fate, it was... ludicrous. Impossible. Shaking those thoughts out of his head, he pushed open the door to a Chinese restaurant he didn't know the name of, and had never been in. Running out again five minutes later, this time with a plastic bag that was filled with various foods of Chinese origin, he headed back down the road to Rose Reserve, trying not to cry out in pain with every second step, when his left leg hit the ground.
There it was. Finally. He could see a dark haired boy lying with his back on the grass and his eyes on the sky. He was twisting his hands together nervously, even from a distance you could see it, and it made Newt grin to know he wasn't the only person that was nervous. Newt couldn't help but ponder what he did wrong, what he did to make Thomas run as far and as fast as he did. Before he could pursue his thoughts further, Thomas sat up straight and pulled himself off the ground, finally noticing him. He sprinted, much faster than Newt's speed, probably due to the fact he had two fully functional legs. Newt couldn't help but internally laugh as they ran towards each other. It was so cheesy, so stereotypical. But it was perfect. They reached each other halfway, and Newt felt his legs scream for a rest and his lungs cry out in relief as he stopped. Thomas skidded to a halt, a huge grin on his face, but it faded when he saw Newt.
"Are you okay?" He half whispered, looking concerned. Newt nodded, and felt his stomach flip over he realised how much Thomas cared.
"I..I brought Chinese." Newt said, hating how out of breath his voice sounded. Thomas grinned, but his eyes were still concerned. "Well that's useful. I was starving."

Thomas and Newt lay beside each other on the grass, a their legs tangled, looking at the now midnight blue sky. Twinkling stars lines the night like bullet holes. They fit together do easily. It seemed so peaceful lying next to Thomas, despite the silence between them, and the empty food boxes next to them. 'God, that sounded poetic' Newt thought to himself, a slight content smile on his face. It soon faded though when he remembered what had been on his mind when he was running (or rather hobbling) to the park. He didn't want to ruin the moment, but he had to ask. He could just not know, the question had been bothering him all while they were eating the food, like an unreachable itch, or an unquenchable thirst. "Hey Tommy?" He asked quietly, leaning on one elbow so he could properly see Tommy's face. His eyes were closed, but there was a faint smile in his lips. He looked so peaceful, the opposite of his expression just before he had fled the playing studio. "Hmmm?" He hummed, his eyes still closed. "Why did you leave? Run out I mean. Did I do something?" Newt asked heisitantly, his voice only just above a whisper. Thomas' eyes fluttered open, and Newt felt his heart skip a beat when Tommy's chocolate eyes stared into his. "Of course not Newt. It wasn't your fault at all." Tommy said, looking slightly uncomfortable. Newt frowned. "Then why...?" He trailed off. Tommy sighed, and pondered how he was going to answer. "I-It was my fault really. I was being stupid. I have a habit of assuming the worst of people." He said dryly. Newt looked adorably confused, so Tommy continued. "Well, uh, you see, I thought that you were laughing at me for being a complete creep, and being humiliated isn't one of my hobbies. God that sounds idiotic. I'm sorry." He said awkwardly, blushing and burying his face in his hands. Realisation dawned on Newt's face, and he smiled softly. "You slinthead." He murmured to himself."Well, actually, I was laughing, because I think you're adorable ." He said flirtatiously, a happy smile on his face. Tommy's peeked out from behind his hands. "Really? He asked shyly, his face still blushed. "Yeah. I do." Newt said, but his attention was no longer fully on Thomas' eyes. It was, in fact, on something around eight centimetres lower. Deciding to just go for it, Newt followed his instincts and softly kissed Thomas, who immediately responded. His lips were impossibly soft, and as soon as Newt's lips came in contact with them he was addicted, and wanting more.
He tasted like coffee and sunshine.
