"Keep Her Safe"

The rain had poured down hard, today. You could here the rain pelt on top of the houses and vehicles. Everyone was inside, nobody dared to be outside. Wind screamed and howled from the outside so much, that it knocked down one of the trees. Water thrashed around the streets and almost created a river. Suddenly, through the rain and winds, a scream erupted. Footsteps stormed through the forest, and hyperventilating sounded through the trees.

"Help! Please! Someone help me! I beg of you!", screamed the girl out of helplessness and fear. She ran faster and faster, searching for people as someone behind her was in pursuit. Scratches and gashes decorated her legs, caked with blood and dirt, as well as heaven's tears. Her own tears rolled down her face quickly, and fell into the soil below her feet. She once again screamed in bloody murder, praying for someone to hear her.

A hand reached out and took grip of her hair, pulling her into his arms. She tried to scream, but he put a hand over her mouth.

"It's okay.. You're okay. I'm not going to hurt you, Li.", he cooed. She pat her head, and held her close. "Are you crazy? It is pouring outside. You'll get a cold.. You never learn." She quivered in fear, her legs gave out as she fell to the forest ground. He still held her in his arms. Kalli sobbed in his arms, hugging him tight.

"Jayden, thank god.. I was-", she managed to choke out before breaking into tears once more.

He rubbed her back and wrapped his arms around her, "Shhh... Don't be scared anymore. I'm here. It'll all be okay...", he reassured. "What had happened?"

"Y-You left me at home and I thought you were gonna leave me forever, Jayden.. And this man was being really weird and h-he started to chase me and-", Kalli stammered. She dug her face into his chest. "I ran as far as I could and I-"

"You did well, my sweet. It's okay.. I would never leave you. Never.", Jayden affirmed, with the slightest hint of flare of anger. She continued to sob as he wrapped her in his jacket. He continued to hold her as Jayden kissed her forehead.

Jayden's POV

Who did this to her? How did she get out of the house? I locked the door, and made sure my senpai could not escape.. How. I guess I'd have to find this one now. This will be entertaining... for now. Right now, I must take my love home and keep her safe. I must clean her up and let her sleep. Ah.. My poor, precious Kalli. She didn't deserve this. She never needed any of this. I promised to protect her at all costs. I promised.

He will pay with his blood.

I swear.

"Sweetheart, what was his name?", Jayden soothed. She looked to him in confusion, but didn't hesitate to speak.

"Kion... Kion was his name. He had short black hair, and green eyes with pale kinda skin.. And that's all I could really see.", recalled Kalli.

He spoke softly, "Thank you.. Now, let's get home." He smiled, and he scooped her into his arms, and held her. "I wouldn't like my love to get injured even more.", He smiled.

"Yeah...", Kalli smiled and sighed in relief, as she started to braid a section of Jayden's bleach blond hair.
