The rain had started to pour a long time ago, the clouds being dark in the sky. Thunder grumbled in the sky, threatening to strike. Yet, a girl was sitting alone on a bench in the park. No coat, no umbrella, no boots. Just sitting there in a dark blue long sleeved shirt and pitch black leggings with converse. Her long, black hair covered half of her face, and slightly protecting her from the rain. Tears trailed down her face, dripping down to her sleeves. She wiped the tears away, only soon to have more fill her glassy, blue eyes.
"What are you doing out here, beautiful?" a voice had called, as footsteps approached. The girl looked up, and a light gasp could be heard from her.
"W-What are you doing here..?" she stuttered, "I told you not to follow me outside.."
The boy looked down to her with his emerald eyes, as soft as ever. A light smile crossed onto his face, as he sat down next to her with an umbrella.
"I couldn't help it. You seemed like you were hurting, so I wanted to be there for you." he soothed. His violet hair was a mess, seeming he had ran. Even with the rain, the girl smiled as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"You idiot.. You never think of yourself, do you?" the girl murmured. The boy wiped away her tears gently, and lifted her chin to meet her eyes. His smile was still plastered on his face, only brighter as he held her face.
The boy admired her only for a few more moments, and then spoke.
"It's because you're always on my mind, Sapphire," he affirmed, "Didn't you know?" His words made her eyes light up, and her face flushed a pink. She seemed surprised by the statement.
She mustered up the courage. "Why would I be on your mind? I'm not perfect like everyone else. I'm not emotionally stable, I'm awkward, I cry so much, and-"
"Because you are you. You don't hide your true self from the world. You are the most realest person I've ever met, Saph. How could I not think of you? You're perfect, to me." he smiled. Just then Sapphire's sadness and insecurities had melted away. The sound of the rain had deafened, and cold disappeared. She then simply smiled, and closed her eyes as she set her hand on his.
"Thank you."
"No problem, Sapphire."
