SPRING WAS HEAVY with rain, droplets of water bucketing down the school building as the skies darkened with grey clouds that didn't seem to be clearing up any time soon.
"I'm so tired," groaned a brunette walking alongside Midoriya. Uraraka yawned, slouching as she walking alongside he and Iida.
"Considering the hours of sleep you obtained last night, why are you surprised?" questioned the nerdy jock.
"I'm not. I just wanna complain about it," Uraraka yawned.
Place A. To The Serial killer Who's Not a Serial Killer
They came to a stop in front of the lockers as they pulled out their umbrellas, Iida lecturing Uraraka about getting a proper amount of sleep to maintain her energy throughout the day and so on, all while doing chopping motions in the air. Midoriya laughed, reaching to grab his own umbrella.
Except it wasn't there.
And it was raining really hard.
Midoriya searched every single rack, none showing any sign of belonging to him, and he suppressed a screech between his teeth.
"Uh, Deku? You doing okay?" Uraraka rose an eyebrow.
The green haired boy jumped, and slowly turned back to them. "... No. I think I lost my umbrella."
"Are you sure you left it here?" Iida put a hand under his chin. "It's possible you misplaced it somewhere else. It could be in your backpack or in the classroom."
"That's true!" added Uraraka.
Midoriya closed his eyes, mirroring Iida's hand gesture and recalling his steps from earlier in the day. They had a group assignment, and he had trouble finding the papers during class, so he took out a few things to get more to look-
"You're muttering," the two pointed out.
"Oh yeah! It's on the floor next to my desk!" Midoriya suddenly gasped. "I hope no one stole it!"
He quickly slipped his backpack back on and started dashing up the stairs, and his friends called his name in worry.
"It's okay, just go on without me!" he assured them as he sprinted up the stairs, nearly slipping at one point.
The doors slammed open as his mouth went agape, panting for air. Emerald eyes scanned the classroom, devoid of any other students, but there was a laptop on one of the desks nearby that was still open.
Before he could wonder about that, he checked for his umbrella, and cheered when he found it where he'd left it earlier. "Yes!" He quickly took the item in his hands, never so happy to have had that paleish green umbrella with bunny-like ears on top.
He glanced at the computer that was still open, wondering if it'd been forgotten too. "Maybe I should return this," Midoriya muttered, wandering over to the computer. "But I should figure out whose it is first."
As he leaned over, trying to find a way to identify the owner, he didn't notice someone slip into the classroom.
"... What," was the one word uttered by a (h/c) haired classmate with a hoodie under her uniform that was pulled over her head.
"Ah! (L/n)!" Midoriya squeaked in alarm. "S-Sorry, I was just, um, checking whose it was! I swear I wasn't trying to do anything, or anything! Anything!"
(L/n) stared. "Okay," she said. "Thanks. I guess."
"N-No problem!" Midoriya struggled not to say anything stupid and make himself look worse. "Um, actually... Do you mind if I log into our digital classroom? Mine was backfiring on my phone, so I can't tell which assignment we're supposed to do today. Is that okay?"
