" she kept on panting and running. There was no where to hide and she felt it closing up on her. She was so tired but didnt want to end up as its meal. She stumbled upon the stumps of a tree and down she went. But it was to late,  it already gained up on her. She screaned as it tried to eat her"
Haaaaaaaaaaaaa"
Patience screamed,  panting from her sleep. She couldn't even dare sleep with her constant nightmares. She checked her bedside clock " shit,  i'll be late" she said, jumping up from her bed and made a dash to the bathroom. Fifteen minutes later,  she came out of the room,  looking all set in her white shirt,  blue and black tie and her blue skirt. Her shoulder lenght allback was neatly brushed and she rushed breakfast. Her brother and sister must have left as she dashed out of the house too. She got to school and walked over to her class.
"See the yeye girl just coming" Angel said as she saw Patience approach them.
"Hey girls" Patience tried to greet her friends of 5 years. " abeggi latecomer,  you for no come skul at all may we no say you don die be that one" Amaka sprewed in pidgin
No be ma fault na, my alarm no ring" patience replied her friends. Just then,  she saw her physics teacher. "O boy,  Awero dey go class, i no fit kneel for sun" she hurriedly baded them as she halfran and half walked to class. Bethel High school was an ideal secondary school with its royal blue and white buildings. There where 6 blocks in all. Two blocks for junior,  two for seniors and the remaining two contained all the admin office, other offices  and labs. The blockes had two floors each. And the classes where a total of six on each floor i.e eight arms for each class.
Bring out your textbooks,  today we will be treating simple harmonic motion" Awero said and taught them for the next hour. They later packed their books to their next class chemistry. As Patience was packing her book,  Ayodele aproached her.
"P baby" he hyped as he sat beside his bestfriend.  "Ode,  don't goan pack your books may we go class" she replied and left him. Classes continued till end of the day.
O boy, where all these children may we go home" she said checking her wristwatch. Her siblings moved to where she was arguing all the way. "Look at you guys,  be behaving like primary 2 children",  she shook her head at them. "Patieeeeeeee!!!!!”,  Amaka screamed out her name which made her stop. "I thought you were not going naa" Patience said as she waited for Amaka to catch her breath. "Why won't I be going??" Amaka replied-asked as they kept on walking. They talked about everything and nothing on their way to their mums' shops. Amaka's mum deals in sale of clothes, from ankara to lace to cord to material to guinie,  name any cloth,  you will find it there while patient's mum had a big supermarket. They stopped on their way to get snacks and walked to the complex. They parted ways and went to their respective compartments. "Sis Oluchi, Nathan didn't give me my own share of the snacks o", Rachel complained bitterly. " Cry cry baby, reporter oshi( stupid reporter)" Nathan jeered. Patience just looked and them and decided not to intefere. She brought out her assignments and began to work on them. Once she finished,  she decided to go help her mum with shop account. She took a stroll round the supermarket to note things needed and wrote down some things. As she continued,  she came face to face with one neighbourhood guy. "Hahan Patience, howfar na?" The dark guy asked. "I'm fine Tobi",  she replied with a bored expressuin. Not waiting for him to spill trash,  she left his side and went back to the office. She did the accounts and waited for their mum to come pick them up.

                         *************************"*****************"************
" So, all ss2 class captains should appoint people to work on each days" the headboy addressed his juniors. The ss2 students,  feeling rather annoyed voiced out " hahan senior,  we are in ss2 now",  "the remaining should do it". "Why do we have juniors?",  "what are they useful for?" They grumpled. The headboy left not after ordering the captains to follow him. Patience,  Amara and Angel walked away. Since it was break,  they were found eating. "Patience noww,  I want spagg" Amaka whinned. Patience ignored her friend " guy go chop your own food jare, you no carry food come?" Angel asked. "Yenyenyenyen,  its not your business" Amaka said and they continued gisting as they ate. "I have already made the list and this is how we are going to clear the land and the people to do it", the classcaptain said and posted the list on the class notice board. People scrambled to go check their names. Then the bell was rang and classes continued. "Wait behind everybody,  let me explain" the captain called out. " since we have eight arms and a total of 50 students per class, 5 students from each class for everyday. We will keep on rotating it like that", he explained. They all left,  since the change comences nextweek. He had told them earlier on that anybody can work randomly. The three friends walked to the complex together with Angel taking a bus home. Their siblings alk got along and since today was friday,  they finished schoolk early. P and Amaka stopped to get boli and epa( roasted plantain and groundnut) while the others went on. "Guy,  howfar Dominic now?" Patience asked her bestfriend. "O' boy,  that one na demon jare,  we don break since before this term. You just dey notice? Amaka  answered nonchalantly. " well nawa o,  you will just be changing boys as if you are changing clothes" P said. " My guy leave that one jare. You hear say them plan party for tomorrow? With the boarders too. Those ones con tell babalegba( the hostel overhead) that they get thing wey dey won do and also,  they wan go cinema. So dey con say all of us should come for anyone" Amaka said. "Nawa for all of you,  so which one are you going for?" Patience asked Amaka. " The beach sounds like a good idea.  For this Lagos, e sure say no be only our school go dey there. And i wan showcase that my bikini top or i should wear that my new playsuit? Or just shorts and vintage top? Guy I'm confused o" she replied. "Wahala for who no get cloth ooo" P replied with a laugh. During their discussion,  they had already got to Patience's Mum's supermarket. The headed into the office and at their boli in silence. They did their assignments together and continued gisting about the party and school. Patience's mum can som hours late and they headed home.
"Good evening daddy",  they greeted as they entered. They went to their respectuve rooms. Patience's room is a typical girls' room. Since they are three in the room,  they got 3 walls painted in each of them's favourite colour ' purple for Chioma, pink to Rachel and cream  for Patience and the last was a splash of the three colours. They had the walls decorated with glow in the dark stickers, dream catchers hanging from an on the ceiling, normal decorating stickers too . They have their toilet and bathroom in the room, with a rug in the middle of room,  three wardrobes and 7 layered shoerack. Their room is big and spacious with  1 single bed and a bunk. Her elder sister owned the single bed while she and Rachel shared the bunk. They had a reading table and chair with a mini book shelve. Patience changed her clothes and headed to the kitchen to make dinner. They had eba and okasi to dinner. She went ahead to tell her mum sh was heading over to Amaka's place the next evening. They gave approval and she headed to her room. Sh turned on her data and notifications came in. She waited for a while to allow the messages com in fully. She quickly connected her phone to the mp player and started jaming songs. Sh then checked her messages and replied them. Sh clicked on Amaka's tread
Maka😍❤: Don't forget to dress cute😏😏. We are going for the two outings. Did you tell                    them you are sleeping over?
Chibaby😊( Patience): noo😂😂💔,  I'm not sleeping over. I'm wearing knee lenght dungaries jare with a top inside on sandals. I cannot stress myself.
Maka😍❤:😑😑😑😑 I hate youuuuuu. I still haven't decided. Angel too is coming over. She dey wear dress,  one cute floral dress like this. Wo, to sha slay dey my mind. I must look cute.
Chibaby😊: Sha dress moderately ni temi. Don't coman overkill😆.
She went on to check her instagram and twitter. Soon sh felt sleepy,  Rachel was watching TV. She put off the light making the room dazzling.

                                                   ****************

After doing all her house chores and eating,  Patience had her bath and applied body lotion. She wore her clothes, rubbed on powder  with a little lipgloss,  putting her phone, earpiece, lipgloss, and money inside her small bag ,  sh had earlier loosened her hair and left it as an afro. Since she has thick big hair, sh used her sunglasses to push the ha7r back. She wore her strap sandals and anklet on her left leg. Sh made sure to take a vintage scarf and her face towel. She left him an headed to Amaka's place which wasn't  far from her place. Amaka was dressed in a deep blue jean shorts with vintage inspo top, blue sandals,  she packed her long relaxed hair in two buns with two plaits down at the fronth. She hung  her white jacket on her shoulders and she wore  lipgloss. "Awwn you look so cute" Patience admired her friends dressing. Amaka was always won best dressed in the set. The girl can pull off any cloth with her slender model figure. Angel arrived in a uber dressed in a cute knee length floral dress. They entered the cab and went straight to the beach. They paid the uber and dropped off. They could hear music coming from the beach. They headed there and had to pay enterance fee. They saw some of their friends and headed to meet them. They saw some other people they knew from other schools and their seniors. They took pictures together and with their friends and mate. Soon, a guy from another school whisked Amaka away. Angel went to meet her boyfriend and Patience was left alone. "Who left this preety damsel alone? Like why would they do that?" Patience laughed as she heard her male bestfriend talk. " Ayo baby" she hugged him. "How your babe na?,  where is she?" She asked. "She is there o,  with her friends",  he gestured to some people seated under a hut. Soon pretty girl by AG baby and Patoranking was played. Patience moved her body to the beat of the song and Ayodele was hailing her. They had fun, typical nigerian fun😆😆.

"Thats all for class today. Classcaptain,  bring these notes to my class. Good day class". The mathematics teacher left class. Students were seen playing around and gossiping as there was no class. Some group of girls were discussing. "Amaka is always glowing. Did you see her dressing? She looked peng" Srah mentioned to her friends. "Me,  I like Angel's clothes, it was so pretty. Like the open shoulder side pulled me". They keot on going on and on about the party.

You know i was with francis,  i saw hum jare. He get babe,  forget about him" Angel advised her friend. Patience was just looking at them both. "I don't get,  you broke up with him,  why shouldn't he move on?" She asked her friend, clearly not getting what Amaka was driving at. "He is meant to wait a little while before he finds another babe na" Amaka replied.
"I shake my head for you,  abeg i want to sleep. If any teacher comes,  you guys should wake me up o." Patience said to her friends
