- Maybe now you remember? - Asked my mom, as we crossed an old, wooden bridge.

I peeked through the window at the gray skies, floating above waves of golden wheat. The view didn't really change since we left the town, only sometimes, a silhouette of a tree passed by.

- No mom, I still don't know where we are. - I answered finally, feeling her gaze on me through the review mirror.

- You don't look very happy about your holidays in Lavender Hill... - She just had to say it again.

- Could you please stop repeating the name of this village? - I said, quite irritated. - It gives me wierd chills...

- But you used to love being here.

- I was five years old, okay? - I tried to keep myself calm. - Now I have no darn idea what is this place.

Lack of an answear from my mom made me believe I crossed the line. Fortunately, not yet.

- Look... You have your phone. Stay there at least three days, after that you can call me and I'll take you back home. I just want you to spend some time with your aunt.

I nodded. Short "fine" seemed to end the conversation. I looked through the window once again. To my surprise, I noticed a huge house standing in the distance. Who would live in the outcast like that? The mansion was so big, that some of its parts were covered by the even greater forest growing all around it.

My eyes went wider, seeing the scenery.

- So, maybe now? Do you remember? - I heard my mom's voice, but it wasn't clear at all.

The memories of Summer in 1992 suddenly flashed through my eyes, so rapidly that I couldn't even focus. Even though, I answered.

- Yes... I-I do...

Sound of the brake and quite strong push to the front snapped me back to reality.

- That's great honey. Take your bags and head to the front door. I bet aunite Philin is waiting for you.

I didn't even notice when we stopped by the building. I grabbed my stuff and left the car, glancing at my mom one last time before making my way to the entrance. I only heard her driving away a moment later.

Leaving me.

With my memories.
