I went to the doctor complaining of a sore throat, and when she looked in my mouth, she said, "Hmm, looks like there's a canker sore right at the back of your mouth there. They're usually caused by a physical trauma..." I nervously laughed it off and said I must have hit the back of my throat with my toothbrush or something while brushing my teeth. "Hm, maybe. But unless you repeatedly hit the back of your throat with your toothbrush, I'm not sure that was the cause." Mortifying.
