My eyes scanned the bare room waiting to see any sign that I wasn't alone. My hands were tied to the pole in the middle of the room. It was cold and damp. I heard footsteps coming from somewhere. I laid eyes on a huge metal door and that's when the footsteps got louder and louder. The door creaked and opened showing the figure. It was-
"Delilah, honey you need to wake up," a raspy voice started talking and shook my body a bit. ", baby you've been shaking, crying, and screaming all night." It said. I felt floaty and tired. I sat up and looked around. 'Oh, I'm at my ex-boyfriend's house' I thought. "Baby.... did you have a nightmare?" My ex-boyfriend asks. "I do not know," I start ", I was so cold and lonely. It was dark and I saw.. that thing or him. Wait... why am I here at your house what is going on?" I ask rubbing my eyes. "Delilah, calm down. Remember we're married. Look at your finger." He says smirking. "No! No! this can't be," I shout ", this is a joke. Stop No! I'm not married to you monster you tried to kill me!" "Well, I think I want to try killing you again," He chuckles ", say your last words." Then a gunshot I heard I looked down and saw blood oozing from me. "NO!" I shout.

I wake up sweating from the double nightmare. I look beside me only to find my phone. I sigh with relief and smile. I walk down the stairs and see my cat staring out my huge window. Staring at the pale moonlight. My feet feel cold under me and my head was pounding. I look out my window and see the view from my apartment.
Lights look like dots, the vehicles look like little creatures, and the people looked like dots moving around a maze. There were so many lights here in New York. It was almost surreal. It was so beautiful at night. There was no one to share this with though. I felt so lonely until my cat let out a soft mewl. I looked down and there she was staring at me with her sharp feline eyes, "You hungry?" I asked quietly in a groggy voice. She just walked away making her way to the kitchen as I followed. The living room was dimly lit with some of the moonlight shining in. I saw as my cat, Chloe, pushed at her food bowl. I lightly chuckled and went for the cabinets to get her food. I pulled down the cat food bag and opened it. "Looks like I have to go out and buy more tomorrow," I sighed out breathily. I poured some food in her bowl and walked off back to my room.
After thirty minutes if not falling asleep, I walked to my bathroom. The lights flickered slightly making me jump a little. I opened the bathroom cabinets and finally found what I had been looking for. 'AntiDepressants' the bottle label read. I wasn't depressed..anymore but I always kept the bottle around when I had trouble sleeping. I used to have severe depression back in high school but I was now better. I took one small pill and some water in the kitchen and tried going to sleep. My eyes were heavy and finally I had blacked out.
