The Cabin

Jesse Marasco

We ran to the trail and on the trail till we got home.

"Grab the laptop." I say to Eli still trying to calm down
"Here"
I logged blah blah blah and went to google. I quickly searched, wait.
"What do I even look up?"
"Look up the location then go back to google and look up the history." Talia says
I look up the location and look up the history.
As I scrolled around I found a good website to look at.

"It says here it was owned by Jesse M."
"Jesse M? What's his last name?" Talia asks.
I scroll around till I find it.
"Marasco."
"Marasco?" Eli and Talia say together.
"Why do you guys know a Marasco."
"Ya I do my cousin." Eli says quickly
I look at him with my mouth dropped open like a box of candy.
"Or we could look Jesse Marasco on the web." Talia says
"Or we could go to my cousin and talk to him."
"First let's look it up then we might go to his cousin."
I type "Jesse Marasco" in the search bar. all the sudden tons of websites pop up 28 pages of websites.
"Look how many!"
"This guy most be important." Eli says
I go to the first website. The article pops up. "23 year old man tortured and murdered on November 2nd, 1926. Blood was found on his couch and table. Murder suspect unknown."
We read it a couple times.
"So who is haunting or lives in the cabin. The murderer or Jesse?"
That answer was unknown at that point but we knew our next step was crazy but it will work.

We walk down to the kitchen to grab a snack and talk. A note sat on the kitchen table waiting for us.
"I've been watching you guys. you kids are getting closer but farther." The note read
We sat there with the note wondering.
"Hey kids!"
Eli grabs the note and throws it in his pocket.
"So have you guys been having fun?"
"Yes mom, we are having a blast. we would have even more fun with a stuffed stomach." I say in a persuasive voice. "Awww ok. You kiddos hang up stairs while I make lunch."
We all say thanks then walk up stairs still wondering.
