RWBY OC: The Diamond In The Rough

One Jump Ahead

<Present Day, 10 years later. Zahara is 15 and living as an street urchin in Atesh, a village in Vacuo>

Zahara kept on leaving behind a path of sand and winking at the guards chasing her. She only stole an apple, she paid with Lien she stole, but these guys were just too blind to see she "paid" for it.

She had practiced her Semblance for the past 9 years and gotten used to it. She dashed up on a beam that was 3 stories high and stuck her tongue at them. The guards unsheathed their cutlasses and she pulled out Zard Sang, her scythe. She dashed back to the guards, who were expecting an attack, but she didn't. She created a sand cloud but when it cleared, she was gone. She dashed to them, making a cloud, but she quickly went on a roof.

She felt a bit dizzy because she used up most of her Aura to do that, but that was the first time she did that. That night, she went into an abandoned building that looked like a castle and it had a nice view of Atesh. She sat on the balcony and ate the apple, feeling lonely. Later on, she laid down on the bed in the room and covered herself and fell asleep.

She found herself back in Khakestar, at her home. She saw her parents bodies on the ground like it was 5 years ago. She saw the Beowolves. She tried reaching out to grab her weapon, but she felt like something was in her brain. Manipulating her. Her head pounded and she turned around and saw a pale figure. The figure smiled. She wore black and dark crimson and held her hand out. The figure had white hair with black jewelry hanging out of her hair. She felt her head burst and she felt like it was gonna explode. She felt like the lady had a clawed hand and dug it into Zahara's head, searching for secrets. She felt like she was being turned into something and every inch of her body was in pain. Her dream shifted and she was in a room with a mirror and saw that her body was pale white with red lines on her face and her arms. She had claws instead of nails, and her eyes were red with a black sclera. She shook in horror and everything went white.

Zahara woke up, shaking. She looked outside and it was dawn. She took a deep breath. She had that nightmare for about a week. Her body hurt from the effects of the dream. She stared out the window and the sun was peeking its way up into the sky...
