The rain was hitting hard. Pounding the physical body of the blonde male. He stood tall above his beloved Pokèmon, Gengar. Both he and this entity always managed to get themselves mixed up in all sorts of sticky situations. Whether it be in or out of the gym.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The two would always play pranks on fellow Gymleaders, like Falkner. He was a fun one to mess with. The two would team up on him and scare him to hell and back. One would distract whilst the other would go in for the kill. But, in the gym battles is where it would get really tough. Sometimes, it would come down to the ghost specialist playing his final trump card; Gengar. Whether it be win or lose, the two still would have a grand time.

Today was different though. This was an out of gym, no prank kind of different.

As the rain continued to hit, Morty turned to his ghostly companion.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Well? What do you think?" He inquired. The spirit simply cackled in a reply, it's grin growing devilishly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Morty shook his head as he, in turned laughed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Alright, alright. Now really." He smiled. It was a joking matter, after all.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The two had managed to find themselves in this rather wet situation. It was their fault, really. If they hadn't wandered out in the dead of night then they wouldn't of been lost. Not only that, but they were being too stubborn minded to bother looking at the forecast.

Gengar averted his gaze forward and pointed. With his other arm he had tugged at the hem of Morty's black fabric shirt, gathering his attention.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The blonde smiled to his partner and chuckled.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Alrighty. That way it is then !"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The blonde didn't really know whether Gengar was right or not. Judgement didn't really matter in this moment. He did trust that Gengar would bring him to the exit of the forest. They had that profound bond, after all. Whether they ended up walking for hours or not didn't bother the human. He liked being with his pokemon, no matter the situation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With that, the two began to wander off into the distance. The rain still falling down onto them, drowning out the sounds of everything else out but leaving their own conversations to them. Their forms fading into the watery darkness of the forest.
