This morning when i woke up, I did not recognise the face looking back at me. "This is not me...." I cried out taking a step back. "This is not me..."

"Mona..." I called out for my friends who i was living with "Are you there?." She did not answer back.

I looked at the clock through the mirror. It showed 3 in the midnight. But the bright sun shining outside told that it was at least 8 in the morning.

"Mona, are you in the washroom?" I asked. But i was again answered by silence.

Fear was rising inside me. I slowly went towards the watch to see if ot was working.

The ticking second hand of the clock showed that the clock was working.

"Please tell me if this is a prank Mona." I cried out to my best friend. "This is not funny".

She had played such pranks before and I was still suspecious. But everything seemed to be so realistic this time.

Slowly, i made my way towards the kitchen to have some water. With shivering hands, i took the glass and filled it with water. As I brought the glass to my mouth, I heard a wicked laughter.

The lights in the kitchen went out and the glass fell down with a loud thud. All the water spilled on the floor wetting my pajamas in the process.

"Mona..." I shouted at the top of my voice. "Are you in there." Scared, tears were flowing from my eyes. My throat was completely dry.

As I made my way to switch on the kitchen lights, I saw a man. The same man in the mirror. The unknown man was lying still on the floor of my apartment.

"Mona." I shouted with all the power I had. I suddenly felt her hand on my shoulder.

"Its okay Sara." She was caressing my back.

"No he's dead. That man..." I trailed off ponting towards the man. He was suddenly gone from the floor.

"Wake up Sara. Wake up." She shook me violently. I woke up heavily breathing and covered in sweat over my forehead.

"Its okay.. It was just a dream." She said embracing me in a tight hug. I hugged her back. "It was just a bad dream. Everything is fine."

I closed my eyes and let out a breath of relief. "Thank God it was just a dream."
