"Yoongi, did you get the box of blue ribbons?" asked a boy, currently leaning on the counter in the back room of a flower shop.
Yoongi was emerging from the black spindle staircase with a crate full of different things, he was using one hand to hold on to the railing to prevent him falling, this had happened once before whilst a customer was in the shop. The memory played in his mind where he had to awkwardly explain what had happened to the alarmed customer.
"Yes Jimin, I got your precious ribbons." Yoongi said exasperated.
"Is that sarcasm I detect?" His friend gasped, placing his small hand on his chest.
"No! My arms just hurt." Yoongi quickly covered it up with a innocent smile.
"Hmm" Jimin hopped off the counter and came to help Yoongi bring the crate to the table.
The pair were wearing black aprons and coincidentally their outfits matched. They both had on black trousers and white shirts, except Yoongi wore a dress shirt because he 'wanted to be smart'. Jimin remembered their first day starting the job and Yoongi turned up wearing a bow tie.
"Yoongi, why on earth are you wearing a bow tie, this isn't a wedding?" Jimin giggled as his best friend pouted.
"It's my favourite one!" The elder protested positioning it to make him look smarter
"Aww, it's very you!" Jimin said genuinely and gave him a very genuine hug which made Yoongi release his infamous gummy smile.
The two had been best friends since childhood, although Yoongi was slightly older, they grew up in the same neighbourhood and got on because they understood each other. Jimin was always the strong one who stood up to anybody that was mean to Yoongi, like his protector. Yoongi was grateful for this because he could be, at times, shy and having someone who understood what he was feeling with just one read of his expression, was the nicest comfort. Jimin was thankful that Yoongi never judged Jimin, he could never feel embarrassed to admit anything to him because he knew Yoongi wouldn't offend him, he also was very fond of his affection. They were a very affectionate pair.
"What do you think of this?" Jimin pondered holding up the bouquet of blue and white flowers he had made, he just needed to add the pretty paper and ribbons to finalise his creation.
"I like it, but I thought you said you were going to make it pink themed?" Yoongi said taking it from him and started to adapt it a bit. He added one cluster of gypsy flowers and a little pearl piece on the front of the ribbon and handed it back.
"Wow, that was impressive, how do you always know what to add?" Jimin said whilst walking away to into the shop part.
Yoongi followed after him bringing the potted flowers he'd carried in the crate. As he placed them around as display he realised Jimin never answered him.
"I don't know, I was just feeling blue today?" Jimin said as if he read Yoongi's thoughts.
"So nothing to do with the fact that your hair is electric blue?" Yoongi said laughing and looked up to see Jimin behind the counter fixing his hair in a vanity mirror.
"Nope. Not at all"
Yoongi stood up brushing his hands on his apron and started to walk towards the back room again.
"I'm just going downstairs again, I need to get more. Stay here in case anyone comes in." Yoongi reminded Jimin as he sometimes had a habit of getting distracted in the back room and not noticing someone entering the shop.
"Ok" Jimin said doing a little spin and pose.
Whilst Yoongi was downstairs deciding which things he wanted to bring and put on display, his phone started ringing.
