"Honey, time for breakfast! You'll be late for school."

James heard his mother's booming voice and thought, well there comes another day of boringness. He got up from his bright pink room in his fluffy pink pajamas from his fluffy pink bed and walked down the stairs tiredly to have some breakfast.

"Mum, what's for breakfast?" asked James in a tired tone.

"You'll see," said his mother.

He saw his mother in her fluffy pink dressing gown cooking pancakes for breakfast. Yum, my favourite, said James. It was his favourite food. He sat down and his mother came with the pancakes and a mysterious bloody-looking yellow sheet of paper. James started to have shivers down his spine.

"What's that?" asked James in a scared tone.

"Why are you scared?" asked his mum.

"It's just that sheet of paper your holding. It is covered in red."

"Oh that," cackled his mum. "I spilt red vinegar in red food colouring on this sheet. Clumsy me."

That's strange, James thought. My mother never ever speaks like that. Not even when she is having a laugh.

"This sheet of paper is your application form for Montana High School," said his mum. "You need to sign it."

Montana High School, James thought. He searched his brain to find where he found that name.

"Can you hand it over please so I can sign it?" asked James.

"What? Oh yes," said his mum.

James got the sheet and felt a strange feeling. It was like the sheet wants him to bash up his mum and kill it. He tried to stop the urge by putting the paper down and looking at what it says. The paper is asking him to sign the name. His mum was cooking something for herself and didn't see James signing the sheet. He signed, only to realise that his blue pen had turned red and filled itself up with red ink; or blood.

Strange, James thought. Still it was time for school so he didn't have the time to go and find out why his pen turned red. He changed into his blue and white uniform and set of for school. All he knew what that it was a normal day and such and such. What he did not know was that when his mum was in the computer room writing a story, that the application sheet started to hover and follow James to primary school.
