I stretched my right hand to give me a cover from the rays of sun. It is shining brightly and I can see that people are happy and in good mood.
I picked up my luggage and started walking. After three years, I found myself here again on the place I'm trying to forget.
But who can forget this place, this place where every people would love to visit. Their idols and oppas are living here. South Korean dramas are being watched everywhere. South Korean music are dominating the music industry.
You cannot forget Seoul, and no matter what you do, you'll just end up loving it again.
And here I am again arriving in Seoul.
"Dad, I can't. I don't want to go back there," I protest to my Dad and I feel like having tantrums here.
"Give me one reason why I will accept your word of not going to Seoul," my Dad said in his strict voice.
"Everytime we are talking about this, you keep on declining, ija," my mom said as she placed cup of coffee in our table.
"Our company needs you there," my Dad added and I'm still thinking of my reason to convince them.
"Then assign Jackson there. He's more suitable to lead the company. He knows the heart of our company in Seoul," I said convincing them to let Jackson go there. We're family and I know they will let Jackson handle it. It's just that Jackson is still on vacation since it's their wedding anniversary. "Let's wait on him when he come back from his vacation," I added but it didn't convince them.
I saw how my father sighed.
"What happened in Seoul three years ago?," my Dad asked seriously and it gets me nervous.
"You didn't even meet Chanyeol and his family when they went here," my mom said. I know they really want to know the reason why they can't push me to go to Seoul when in the first place I love that country. They've been asking me this question for almost a year.
"I just don't want to go back there," I said while my head is down. I can't face them.
"Is it because of Mr. Park's son?," my Dad asked and it made me to look at him. "I guess it is," he added and I sighed defeatedly.
"Whatever your reason is, Rosé, you are meant in Seoul. You are meant to be there, to lead our company," my mom said and I guess it's my destiny.
"You'll go back in Seoul and it's final," my dad firmly said. "And whatever is your thing with Mr. Park's son, fix it while you are staying there. I do not want to have this conversation again," he added and I have no choice. It has been decided in the first place.
I waved at the taxi and head inside.
Jackson is still not here in Seoul, he and his wife will be here tomorrow. That explains why I don't have driver.I looked at the window and observed the city. It changed and KPOP music can be heard everywhere.
I don't know what lies ahead on my stay here but I need to face it.
