An impulsive decision

He had warned me that it would be dangerous but I didn't believe him. Whatever, there I was, feeling myself as Rapunzel locked in my humble little house without doing anything. I had been slouching with crutches around my boring and extremely silent room looking for some miracle that could save me from my unhappy ending. Okay, you must think that I am a little dramatic, but what had led me to that situation? I just asked my mum: 'Can I please go to the audition?' It was totally unfair.

It all started when I realized that I wanted to act and I decided to follow my dreams. I'd tried to sign up for the school theatre club several times but I never proceeded out of the fear of what people would think about me. At school, I was regarded as boring and responsible, and at home my parents didn't agree as they wanted a better future for my brother and me.

One day, fed up with that annoying situation I told myself that I could do anything I wanted, even if other people didn't believe in me. I was going to go to that audition and challenge myself. So, when the day came I didn't listen to my over protective brother who was sure I would get in trouble and I scaped from my house and headed for the school. For the first time in my life I had a sense of freedom.

After all, the audition went great and I got one of the main characters. I came back to my house walking under a storm daydriming about everything when I didn't catch sight of boy who was riding a bike and apparently he didn't see me either. I was sure of something: my parents wouldn't be happy.
