More Than A Hint

Katsuki POV:

It's been a few weeks, and I hate to admit it, but I'm stumped on who this person might be. They've kept their promise, I think, and given me a hint every day. Whether it be through physical interaction and telling me the next day, or sending me a small gift. I want to know so badly. I wouldn't admit this to anyone, but I've grown quite attached to this person. They've at least told me they are a guy, that narrows things down a bit. I sat in my desk with a candy cane in my mouth as I messaged the guy.

Candy Cane: I see you're still enjoying the candy canes.

Explodo: Shut it. I just like mint.

Candy Cane: Noted. By the way, you look cute with it in your mouth right now. It makes me want to go over there and kiss you.

I blushed. This guy has gotten more and more forward over the weeks.

Explodo: If you want to so bad, then why not do it?

Candy Cane: Because, Katsuki, my sweet, then you would know who I am, and I enjoy my life and would rather not like it to end.

Explodo: Who said I'd kill you?

Candy Cane: I don't like my odds.

Explodo: As long as you're not that damn Deku.

Candy Cane: I don't see what your problem is with Midoriya. He is nice.

Explodo: Yeah, yeah. Save it. So sugar, what if you told me who you were and then I could kiss you?

Candy Cane: Nice try, I like living.

Explodo: Again, you'll be fine.

Candy Cane: Doubt it.

I rolled my eyes as Half-N-Half walked up to me.

"What do you want, Icyhot?"

I didn't snap at him as much as I wanted to for some reason.

"Bakugou, I'm having some trouble with this problem. I zoned out yesterday in class, could you help me?"

"Tch. Whatever. What stupid problem did you not get Halfy?"

He bent down, his body close to mine, and I could feel his heat. I blushed and almost shoved him away. Almost. I couldn't bring myself to for some reason as I looked up at him. The light hitting his facial features just right. My heart pounded as he gave me a fond smile and thanked me for my help before going to sit back down.

Candy Cane: Class is about to start. Pay attention.

Explodo: Yeah, yeah. Shut it. I was helping a hottie with homework.

I realized what I typed too late.

Explodo: I didn't mean to type that!!!!!

Explodo: How do I delete?!?!?!

Candy Cane: You can't.

Explodo: SHIT!!!

Candy Cane: I don't see the big deal.

Explodo: The 'big deal' is that I just confessed a crush to someone I don't fully know who they are before I could come to terms with it myself!!!

Candy Cane: Wait.....

Explodo: FUCK!!! I SAID NOTHING!!!

Candy Cane: You have a crush on me?

Explodo: Hah?! Half-N-Half?!

Candy Cane: AutoCorrect. Still doesn't recognize some names. I meant to type, Todoroki.

Explodo: Oh. Yeah. I guess I do.

Candy Cane is typing...

Shoto POV:

Holy Shit!!! Holy Shit!!! Holy Shit!!! He said he liked me!!! Katsuki said he liked me!!!!!

I shook my head slightly to calm down. I had almost blown my cover, but I blamed it on AutoCorrect. He bought it thankfully. I glanced over to him as he waited for my reply. I never got to send it before the teacher walked in and started the next lesson.

When lunch rolled around, Midoriya invited me to the coffee shop near the school, and I agreed. I checked my phone, but no new messages from Katsuki. I was a little sad but decided to just let it go for now. When school ended, I checked my phone again before deciding to finally send him a message.

Candy Cane: Katsuki. Are you okay? You've been quiet.

Explodo: Look up, Idiot.

I looked up before cursing myself and looking over to Katsuki Bakugou, who's bright crimson eyes met mine, and I looked down, blushing.

Explodo: So it is you.

Candy Cane: I have no idea what you mean. I didn't look up.

I was lying through my teeth, but I couldn't let him know.

Explodo: Uh-huh. Well, good night Halfy.

I couldn't stop a small smile as it crept on my face.

Candy Cane: Good night Katsuki.

I looked up and realized I had walked to my dorm. I opened it up and plopped down on the bed. I held my hand to my lips and wondered, not for the first time, how it would feel like to kiss him. I smiled fondly and rolled onto my side.

Explodo: Open the door, Halfy. I left you something.

I opened the door and looked down at a small bag. I brought it inside and pulled the clothing out, revealing a large hoodie. The scent drifted and hit my nose, and I instantly could tell that this was one of Bakugou's jackets. I held it close and inhaled his scent.

Explodo: Enjoy the jacket Halfy, return it when you get tired of it, I guess.

Candy Cane: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Explodo: Yeah, whatever. Sleep well, idiot.

Candy Cane: You too.

I smiled and turned off my phone. I pulled the jacket on and curled up under the covers, surrounded in his scent. I slowly drifted to sleep with a small smile on my face.
