"Olivia, wake up honey, we're almost there. Oliver, sit still," said their mother, Sarah Laker as she turned around from the passenger's seat to look at the six-year-olds."Mommy, when are we gonna reach the toy store?" asked Oliver.
"In a bit honey," his mother replied nervously.
Although twins, they looked nothing alike. Olivia, who was older by an hour, had blonde hair and forest green eyes which she had gotten from her mother. However, Oliver had dark brown hair and big chocolate brown eyes which he inherited from his father, William.
"Mom, how long till we reach?" asked the oldest child of the family, Levi.
Unlike his twin siblings, Levi was a mix of his parents. He had gotten his green eyes from his mother, while dark brown hair from his father.
He was practically jumping from excitement, Though, it wasn't for the reason that he loved school he was excited.
"Levi honey, I know you're excited but could you calm down? We're almost there," said his mother, Sarah as she stared at her bubbly son who was currently jumping up and down on his seat.
"I still don't understand how he is excited," chuckled his father, William Laker. "Don't teenagers hate school?"
"I'm excited to see Halter again Dad," said Levi excitedly, "I haven't seen him in a long time."
"And I'm excited to see my teachers, and my classmates, and my schedule," rambled Levi before announcing, "Also, this year, I decided to join the football team!"
"Good luck son!"
"Mommy, did we reach the toy store yet?"
—————————
The two parents waved goodbye before driving out of the parking lot and towards the elementary school. Levi walked into the school, excited to meet his best friend, Halter Jopesh.
He walked inside the hallways, reminiscing of the time he spent around his school. He couldn't believe that it was his last year of middle school.
'It's now my final year of middle school,' he thought, 'I have to make this year worth remembering.'
————————-
After Levi had gotten his schedule, he began walking to class, hoping to spot Halter along the way. He checked his schedule again before sighing with annoyance and turning a right.
Levi looked up from his schedule, to see if he had reached his class. Though, instead of seeing his class, Levi looked up to find his best friend, Halter Jopesh staring down at his schedule in confusion.
"Halter!" screamed Levi, not caring of the people around him staring. Halter looked up to see his best friend waving towards him.
Levi ran towards his best friend and wrapped his arms around him when,
"Stop Levi," said Halter harshly before pushing Levi off of him.
Levi frowned before plastering a fake smile and said in a cheerful tone, "Let's walk together,"
"Ok, but I have Algebra first," replied Halter.
"Looks like we have different classes," frowned Levi.
—————
Halter and Levi walked around the school, each trying to find their classes. After a while of looking, they found Halter's class, Algebra.
The two peeked through the window to see the class had started. Halter quietly waved Levi goodbye before slowly opening the door to his class.
Levi stopped in his tracks and turned around to the direction of Halter's class and yelled out, "DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME!", holding in his tears.
Halter turned around and glared at his best friend before kicking the door closed with his foot.
"Goodbye...my friend," said Levi dramatically, a tear rolling down his cheek.
——————
Levi walked out of his class with a boy, the two of them looking as if they were discussing a serious topic.
"You know what Cory," said Levi, "Let's just forget about it—"
"Water is not wet."
"How the hell is water not wet!? IT'S WATER—"
The two discussed their opinions, both sticking with their opinions until they reached the doors of the cafeteria.
"Are waiting on someone?" asked Cory as they both waited in line for their lunches.
Levi nodded before saying, "My best friend. What about you?"
"Friends from last year."
"One day, we should all hang out," said Levi happily. Cory smiled at his enthusiasm and nodded at his new friend.
Once the two had their lunches, they bid each other goodbye before walking off to find their friends.
Levi walked towards the middle of the cafeteria, looking for Halter in one of the seats. He hadn't seen him since the two first lessons. He sighed before looking down at his food.
He had an apple, a sandwich, and an open juice box which wasn't bad for an after breakfast snack.
Levi looked up from his tray and smiled when he saw his friend sitting down at an empty table. However, he also saw three other people, two girls and one boy, sitting next to him.
'Maybe Halter invited them!' thought Levi happily. Levi loved making new friends, between him and Halter, he was the social butterfly.
Just as Levi was about to yell out his name, he saw a girl in front of him, who didn't notice him yet. Levi tried to stop but it was too late, the two collided, causing his lunch to drop on her clothes.
'I had just entered hell and I knew I wasn't making it out alive'
