Wolves

Prologue

-Jake-

I walked into the doctor's office. Ashley and Liam followed me quickly, shutting the door behind them. The previous week he had taken samples of our blood after giving me one of a few conclusions. He sounded weird.

He cleared his throat, spreading the pieces of paper out on his desk. They displayed weird letters and numbers all over, and it didn't mean a thing to me.

"I have your results* He spoke up. All three of our heads snapped up at him. paper was in front of his eyes, as I reading everything.

"Jacob Ross Payne. Full grown wolf. Lived for 2000 years. Your power is reading minds in which Liam will inherit when he turns 18. However, Ashley will inherit her powers at the age of 16. She'll get a rare one, force field. She shouldn't be affected by anyone and she may even proceed to extend it" He explained slowly.

"Awesome!" Ashley exclaimed, standing on her chair. Liam lifted her off and told her to be careful. It made me smile knowing that Ashley will always have Liam and Liam will always protect her.

"Jake, son, you need to move away. To a forest or something. Otherwise, you and your children are in real danger." He added. I nodded, knowing that it would be best for us.

"Kids. Pack what you can when we get home. We're moving away" I ordered. They nodded.

"There's a cabin you can go to. Stay there for as long as you want!" He yelled, throwing the keys at me as we walked out of the room.
