Ashley and Liam's Birthday

*14 years later*

-Ashley-

"Mornin birthday girl!" Dad yelled from the kitchen. I sniggered playfully at him, making him laugh loud. Liam walked down and spun me around.

"How does it feel to be 16 Ash?" He asked. I beamed at him.

"It's amazing! How does it feel to be 19 Li?" I asked, jumping on his back.

"Feels pretty good. Dad is it okay if we throw a small pack party later?" He asked. Dad walked out with our lunches. Damn I sleep alot.

"Sure. I'm going out with Eleanor later so you can start it then" He told us, setting down our plates and jogging upstairs. I dug into the cuisine straight away, savouring it's original taste. Liam did the same.

"I have a feeling it gonna be a good night." He spoke, winking at me. I pulled a face of disgust.

"You and Dani ar-"

Dad cut me off running downstairs. "Grabs your bags kids!" He yelled, walking back into the kitchen.

"Why?" I asked.

"Governments here for us. They know what we are! Get your things Ash. Run as fast as you can" He demanded. I grabbed my things as told and shifted when I got outside, running as fast as I could. I reached our new home and hours later, Liam and my dad joined.

"Are you okay Ash?" Liam asked as I unpacked.

"Mhm" Was all I could say.

"Spit it out" He said knowing there was something wrong with me.

"I just don't get it. We've lived there for 14 years and all of a sudden the government just happen to know where we are. I mean, the doctor wouldn't have told them. Right?"

"I dunno. I guess he might have been tortured. We can't be mad at him. He's managed to protect us for 14 years. I don't think he did it on purpose" He told me, stacking the plates into the cupboard.

"We'll hide out here for now. I'll get in touch with him later" Dad said, manoeuvring around the house. Dani burst into the house.

"There's no point Mr Payne. He's dead" She declared. My eyes widened in shock and pain.

"What do you mean Danielle? He can't possibly be" My dad excused, sitting on the chair.

"He died of a heart attack during the torture. I'm so sorry." She apologised and left, clearly in tears herself.

"Go after her Liam. I'm calling Yasmin and Cloe" Dad demanded. Liam nodded and ran after Dani.

"Ash, go unpack your room" He told me, his tone getting soft. I nodded and walked to my room, beginning to unpack my clothes. Minutes later there was a knock on my door. I didn't bother to look up because it was probably my dad.

"Come in" I mumbled, my voice muffling in my clothes. It opened and shut.

"You really should be careful about who you let into your room Ash" A voice said. I froze.

"What are you doing Harry? You know Liam will kill you." I replied harshly. His face dropped.

"Oh please don't give me that bull. I didn't even know it was you until you spoke." I spat, putting the rest of my clothes away as he plopped on the end of my bed.

"Ashley. I don't even know what I did to upset you," He excused, "like seriously, you're mad at me for no reason"

His remark made me scoff as Liam walked into my room. His eyes wandered from me to Harry before coming back to me.

"What is he doing here?" He asked, his finger pointing at Harry.

"I came to help her set her room up but I guess she managed by herself," He started, standing up from my bed and walking out of my room, sliding past Liam on his way.

"What was all that about? Ash? What was he doing in here?" He asked, interrogating me with his questions.

"How should I know? He knocked on my door and I thought it was dad, so I let him in." It was just a simple mistake, I thought.

"Fine. Just look next time, okay? I don't want anything to happen to you Ash. You know that, right?"

"Yeah I know Li. I'm so lucky to have a brother as nice as you." I stated. He laughed

"You sure are Ash. Just be careful." He said and left my room.

Before I knew it, my clothes were done, as was the rest of my room. I took the rest if my free tine to lay on my bed and think about the events of today. My thoughts were interrupted as Cloe and Yasmin burst through my bedroom door, leaving a dint on the wall as the handle slammed into it.

"Ash are you okay?!" Cloe fussed, rushing over and searching my face with her hands.

"Did they do anything to you?! What happened?!" Yasmin also fussed kneeling down next to me to check my wrists and ankles.

"Guys! I'm fine! Honestly, just look at me. There's nothing wrong, they didn't get to me. I got away before they reached the house." I replied,laughing slightly. Their hands tore away from me as the stood up, staring down at me.

"And what happened when the boys got here? I heard Liam give a not so nice talk to Harry when we came. Something about you too being alone. Did something happen?" Cloe asked, sitting next to me. I sighed.

"He came into my room. It's not really a big deal. He knocked on my door and O thought it was my dad, so I let him in. I couldn't help but yell at him because I knew Liam wouldn't be happy if he saw anything going on between us.." I explained hesitantly. They nodded in understanding.

I've nothing but a massive crush on Harry since I met him and things didn't go well when I told Liam. For some reason he wants me to stay away from him, so I do, just to make him happy.

"Alright girly. Wanna come downstairs and make up for thus not so ideal 16th birthday if yours?" Yasmin suggested, tugging Cloe off the floor. I nodded with a massive smile on my face. After tugging me up, we all ran downstairs.

We all sat in the living room with blankets thrown over our legs as the film played. Liam chose a sappy love story for us to watch as Harry sat at the other side, stealing glances at me every so often. Cloe and Yasmin weren't much help because every time they caught him, they'd wiggle their eyebrows at me. They are so childish.

Basically, half way through the film all us girls burst into tears as the film hit one of those stages. Liam picked up the box of tissues while I was busy cuddling into his side sobbing away. All in all, I cried myself to sleep. The dreams hit me like a bus: Paris, Utah, Italy, you name it.
