A week has gone by and there isn't a day that passed, where I don't think about that poor kid who was getting beat up. I have to do something, I can't just ignore the fact that I left a young teen-age boy on the road to get beat-up by 3 fully grown men! Fuck it. I grab my coat, keys, phone and slip my Vans on. I walk toward the alleyway next to the Italian restaurant where I found the boy. After the longest 5 minutes of my life I reach the alley. I hesitantly take a few steps forward.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" I ask, the only reply I get is silence. I give up after a few agonising seconds of standing there, finally I impatiently turn around when I suddenly hear a muffled sneeze coming from behind he dumpster. I flip back round facing the dumpster the noise came from.
"Hello? I'm not going to hurt you, honest" I told the mystery boy hidden from me, slowly approaching the dumpster trying my best not to make any sudden movements or any loud noises.
"G-go away. Please, leave. I-I don't have anything" I heard a soft and broken voice answer me.
"I'll leave, if you want me to but I will be back..." I was interrupted when the voice started sobbing and hyperventilating. "No, no not in that way, I want to take care of you and I want you to trust me, so I was going to get you some food and warm clothes seeing that it's December, You don't have to worry about me hurting you. I promise." With that I left to do as I promised the poor boy, I went to the local McDonald's shop and ordered a big Mac, a large portion of fries and a 2l water bottle.
I returned to the alley, I heard shuffling and saw the outline of the boy, he was tall, thin, like he hadn't eaten in months. I stumbled over a plastic bottle making a lot of noise and almost dropping the food I had ordered previously.
"Shit" I muttered under my breath. I looked up to see if the boy was still there but I was too late, I could hear him shuffling away back behind the dumpster which I presumed was were he 'lived'.
"I'm not going to hurt you, I got you some food like I promised. I'll leave it here so you don't have to come out and get it. I'll go get you some warm clothes now, if you want."
"W-what do you want?" This time the voice didn't sound as timid as before but more puzzled.
"I just want to help you, I'm not sure if you remember but about a week ago you were getting beat up from 3 guy's and someone walked into the scene and caught them red handed but didn't do anything about it but run for his own skin like a coward. Well, that someone was me and now I feel guilty for leaving you and I want to take care of you... if you will let me" I was concentrating on what a coward he would think I was. I hadn't realized he had come out from behind the dumpster and was now standing a few metres away from me.

What does this guy want? I told him I had nothing? Why did he bring me food? Why is he being so kind to me? No one has ever been kind to me. He probably just wants to gain my confidence and then use me like everyone else. Never get your hopes up because if you hit rock bottom you can't get any lower and you can't be hurt. On the other hand he did bring me food and I am starving, I haven't eaten properly in days. My stomach growled louder than I've ever heard it before.
"You must be hungry. I'm Louis by the way." Louis informed me, stepping forward to hand me the food. To which I involuntarily scuttled back tripping over some garbage scattered on the floor. I feel a familiar pain spasm across all my body. I feel a small hand on my shoulder and I instinctively move away from the person next to me.
"It's okay, I told you I won't hurt you" Louis tried to reassure me.
"Harry" I told Louis regretting it almost immediately.
"Harry, try to sit upright and you can eat while I'll go get you the biggest clothes I have, that I don't use anymore" He reassures me, handing me the food.
"Thank you Louis" I say not knowing how else to thank the boy with blue eyes standing in front of me.
"You're very welcome. If you want you can come to my place and you can sleep on the couch till we find you a place to stay so that you don't have to live on the road" Fear filled me, the only thing I could think was what he could do to me. I can't trust him, he could be just like the others. Louis must have obviously seen how scared I was of being alone in the same room as him.
"No, no we don't have to if you don't want. We can just chill here till I have to go home to sleep" I don't know why but I was starting to trust this boy. He was smaller than me so it made me a little bit more confident but he was obviously fitter than me.
"Okay" I patted the floor next to me inviting him to sit next to me, he reluctantly took it and we sat like that, me eating the food Louis got me whilst we would try to make small talk but mainly it was just silence, not an awkward silence but one of those pleasurable silences. Until he had to leave and go home.
