I checked my mailbox. Of course, Jonathon and one of his creepy letters, surely he can't be serious though, right? But when I think about it he hasn't messaged me in a while.
I open it up while still standing outside, letting the cold air calm me. It was a creepy message again, it read:
"Hey beauty, how thick are the walls ;)"
Okay that was messed up. I wanted to break up with him. Not just solely because of the messages but because I just didn't feel that spark anymore. I haven't seen him in so long it just doesn't feel the same.
Realizing how cold I was I walked back into the house I shared with Sarah. She was binging some show on Netflix.
"Hey, watcha watching?"
"Oh, some random trash show called Haunted," she replied, not taking her eyes away from the screen.
"Okay, hungry?"
"Not really to be honest, I ate earlier,"
"Okay, suit yourself, I'll heat up some leftovers,"
She nodded in response.
I walked to the kitchen and grabbed some leftovers from the fridge. Putting it in the microwave and waiting on my phone.
I was shocked to see that Jonathon messaged me. What was truly creepy was it was a simple, "hru?"
Nothing else. He hasn't messaged me in weeks and this is what I get.
I immediately replied, harshly. I like to write what I want to say to them and then rephrase it.
I typed, 'dude wtf, I haven't seen u in weeks and this is what I get?!'
I wasn't going to send it but the microwave went off, it scared me and I accidentally pressed send.
Well, fuck.
He immediately started typing back.
'Sorry I've been busy...'
Why the '...'?
He followed it up immediately,
'With school and booking a plane ticket to your place!!'
Maybe I'll be able to feel the spark again! We could have an actual healthy relationship! Or I could break up with him in person.
"Think positive," I told myself
I responded,
'Really?! When?!'
I slipped my phone back into my pocket and grabbed my food. I stepped into my room and felt the vibration from his text.
I sat down and checked my phone.
'Next week? Is that too soon?'
'No problem! I'm excited can't wait to see u!! x''Can't wait to see u to! x'
And with that I put my phone away.
This could go horribly wrong or incredibly well.
