Camila's POV:
The music is blasting loud as I walk up to the door of this big ass house I've never been to with people I've never met, invited by a boy I only met this morning. Do I knock? Just walk in? I know, I should just go home. Right as I go to turn around a very tall and intimidating girl walks up to me trying to get to the front door of the house I was just leaving. She's gorgeous, intimidating but gorgeous.
"Yo you going in or not?" She asks and I just nod not knowing what else to do. "You new here? I ain't ever seen you before, and I go to every party. Gots to get my dance on ya feel me?" She says doing a little dance that I could never even try to do without looking like boo boo the fool.
"Yeah we just moved here a couple days ago. Some guy invited me earlier in the coffee shop. Aaron? Alan? I don't remember his name." I say trying to remember.
"It's Austin. He's the party host. By the way I'm Dinah Jane aka Finah Jane. You can call me DJ if you want. Or Dinah. Or whatever. What's your name shawty?" Dinah asks me and I soon realize she's just tall not scary.
"Oh uhh. I'm Camila." I say holding my hand out.
"Nah we don't do that here." She's says pulling me in for a hug. "You got any nicknames?" She asks me after we pull apart from the hug.
"Umm no. None that I want to ever say publicly." I say quietly looking down at my feet.
"Oi look at me. Talk wit yo chest. We'll find a cool ass nickname for you once we get to know each other better. Cool?" She asks wrapping her arm around me walking us up to the door. She just walks in so I guess I didn't need to knock. "Ahh fuhhh!" She yells turning around quickly.
"What? What happened? What's going on?" I ask frantically. Now I want to go home for sure.
"You're not a homophobe are you?" She asks with a more serious facial expression.
"Absolutely not. Love is love." I say proudly because I truly do believe in equal rights for all.
"Okay coo. Uhh you see the hottie on the dance floor breaking it down?" She asks nodding her head back towards the makeshift dance floor in the living room. And wow she is stunning. I can barely walk, I'd end up in the hospital if I attempted the split move she just did.
"I think so, yes." I say enamored as she just keeps dancing. Wow she doesn't even look out of breath. It's like she's in her own world.
"I got a big ass crush on her. She's just way out of my league." She says causing me to laugh. "Yo whats funny dawg?" She asks me scaring me slightly.
"She's not out of your league. What you need to do, is go join her on the dance floor. I saw your little dance outside, you can keep up with her I'm sure." I say causing her to scoff at me like I've said some outrageous comment. "What? It's true." I say in defense.
"Look at her. Look at me." She says pointing back and forth between them. "Besides I don't even know if she's into ladies like that." She says making a sad puppy dog face.
"Only one way to find out DJ." I say pulling her to the dance floor. I can't believe I'm doing this I've never even danced. I mean I've tried the TikTok dances but I can't dance dance.
"Ooh girl this is my jam!" She yells starting to get more loose and comfortable. "I love me some Doja Cat. Don't you?" She yells over music barely audible as were right next to the speakers.
"Yeah!" I yell back. I start dancing and moving so she's closer to the girl she's crushing on. They're both dancing like their lives depend on it.
That's when I see her out of the corner of my eye. Her black leather jacket caught my attention. Now frozen in place, speakers blasting loud all I can see is her face and hear the words "she's just like candy" and I wonder if it's true. WAIT, no Camila you're straight. You don't like girls. You don't wonder if she tastes like candy. Yes I do cause damn look at her. NO! STOP! What are you thinking? Focus! We're helping Dinah. But god is that mystery girl sexy. Actually I need some air. I walk out the front door and find the nearest tree to sit under to cool off.
