Chapter 2-

"Mother? Is it acceptable if I leave for a week or two?" I asked politely. She yells when you don't ask properly.

"Anything...to get you...out of the house..." she slurred. Taking my opportunity, I rushed upstairs to my room.

I grabbed a duffel bag from under my bed and stuffed things in. Clothes, toiletries, my razor, electronics and chargers.

I quickly zipped up my bag and grabbed my phone off the desk. I quietly went downstairs to see her passed out on the floor.

I stepped over her and quietly closed the front door. I walked two houses down, which is where Rose lives.

I took the key out from under the flower pot and went inside, putting the key back.

"Rose?" I yelled. I heard feet shuffling in the kitchen and dumped my bag on the couch.

I walked to the kitchen to see her on the phone. She waved her hand for me to come over, which I did.

She handed me the phone, which ended with me being lectured by her mom about the trip.

After a cruel 10 minutes, she hung up.

"Aren't you excited?!" She yelled. I nodded and grabbed my bag of the couch, and we headed outside.

We walked down the street to the bus station as the bus pulled up. Neither of us have cars, and planes are too expensive.

We gave the guy bus tokens and sat in the back row. It was really quiet on the bus, no one talking or moving.

-45 Minutes Later-

At last, the bus stopped in front of a building with 'MAGCON TOUR' on a banner against the building. We got out and walked in, seeing as there was no one outside yet.

"Oh my gosh! We're going to see MAGCON!" Rose whisper yelled. I laughed at her, she cracks me up.

We went inside and looked around, tons of girls around a stage. "What seats are we?" I asked.

"The front row, right up to the stage!" No way!!!
