chapter ten

Katsumi sat in the cafe waiting for bakugo to arrive. She wore new clothes that she got today from momo. She asked Momo to make it because it somewhat looked like her clothes at home.she also had to hurry to get ready since she had to shower . She wasn't as tired anymore since she was wondering what he wanted. He said he wanted to talk to her . Not needed . Wanted. Why would he ,bakugo katsuki , the guy who does not talk to her or a lot of people for that matter . Want to talk to her? It didn't make sense. Katsumi was taken out of her thoughts by the sound of someone pulling out a chair. There in front of her sat bakugo . 'speak of the devil' She thought . He didn't say anything ,just looked past her. It was silent until the waitress came to their table. Putting down katsumi's ordered drink. "And can i get anything for you ?" The waitress asked. Bakugo shook his head ,making the waitress leave. It was silent again ,so katsumi decided to break it."so ... What did want to talk about ?" She asked looking at her cup. "Now you decide to talk ,huh ?" He said though it sounded more like a question. Katsumi felt yet another stab inside her . She took some money out her pocket left it on the table and stood up . She didn't look at bakugo as she walked out the door . And didn't turn around when she walked down the sidewalk . she felt something pull at her wrist making her stop and turn around. She looked at a angry bakugo who was holding her wrist."Don't be such a brat " he said angrily . Katsumi ripped out her arm from his grasp. "Brat ? Brat ? " She began "you don't talk to me for weeks ,you ignore me and give me these looks like i'm dirt ." She got more angry with each word."then you tell me you want to talk to me after weeks of the treatment you give me ,you say nothing and then you treat me even worse .if i'm a brat then you're an asshole " she said and continued walking down the sidewalk.she stopped again because he pulled on her wrist yet again. She turned around ."what's it this time ,huh?" She asked angrily. Her face softened some what at the look on his face. But she was still very angry."i'm sorry ,ok ?" He said with sad face,or as sad as it was gonna get. "I just... " He began looking down ,his grip loosing on her wrist. "I'll make it up to you " he said looking at her again."i swear" he added ,while gripping her arm tighter. Katsumi's face softened ."you better " she said smiling half heartily , she was still unsure if those words meant anything. Bakugo's face changend as he looked at her ,he looked sorta happy .And for that one second , If felt as if the world had gone silent . For that one second she felt like there was nothing stopping her . It was burning light , a warm feeling . That put her whole world on fire . But that moment ended for that same one second he haf noticed what he was doing. He let go of her wrist ,his face going back to normal. Katsumi face fell a bit but she didn't say anything. The world around her had gone dark again . And she felt alone .

Time skip~

Katsumi and bakugo walked back to the dorms. It was dark now ,as they walked through the doors and into the sound of talking."katsumi !" Mina said as she saw her walk in. Mina walked over to her."where were you ?" She asked.This was the que where bakugo left ,leaving them alone. "Oh, i went to a cafe " she said smiling . Not mentioning anything with bakugo."well the food is ready ,so come on " she said pulling her to the table ,where everyone else sat .Bakugo groaned deciding he wasn't hungry and was going to his room.He closed the door behind him when he was inside his dorm. He sighed ,pulling his hand down on his face. What was wrong with him? What he said to her . He didn't even think of that. It was like his mouth moved on its own. And then when he almost smiled at her. His mind couldn't make it self up. He was so confused. His pirde makes him say things without even thinking about it . Then his body reacts on its own . It was a constant battle. And it made him wonder who would win. He sat down on his chair. Thoughts in the same genre in his head.Meanwhile katsumi sat down at her normal spot and wondered where bakugo was .She stared at his seat in thought ,Kirishima caught her staring at it and gave her a smile. She smiled back at him before looking at the chair again. She thought about what happened near the cafe. Did she go to far by calling him names,or was it when she smiled at him. Did it annoy him ? She looked at chair feeling guilty ,for reasons unknown to her. She wanted to go apologize. But she feared she'd make things worse. ' why am I like this,I mean he deserved it. Then why do I feel guilty?' katsumi thought to her self when she saw a hand on th chair she's been staring at for minutes. she looked up to see bakugo staring at her with an unreadable expression. She tore her eyes away from him amd looked at the other seats. Apparently it was actually hours she's been staring at the chair or she at least thought so. She heard a chair scrape across the ground and turned to see bakugo sitting down with a plate on the table. He picked up chopsticks and began to eat his food which he probably reheated. She felt weird just sitting there while he ate and decided to stand up. "Where are you going?" Bakugo said as she turned around,he didn't look at her. She looked at him again and smiled sheepishly."well ... Uh " she began "are you sure you want me here while you eat " she ended , awaiting his answer. "You're here every other time" he said taking another bite. "Are you sure ...?" She said confused . "Just sit your ass down" he said still not looking at her. She sighed and sat back down. It was silent, except for the sound of bakugo eating."i'm sorry " katsumi said not looking at him ." I shouldn't have called you an asshole " she added . Bakugo was silent,he just kept eating before he stopped. "I -" he started but she cut him off .". I just wanted to say that because I ... I felt guilty " she said . He looked at her with a blank face and shook his head ."why do you feel guilty ?  " he said his expression was unusual compared to his normal ones . "I - I don't know I just am" she said . He frowned  "you shouldn't feel guilty for standing up for yourself " he said ." I'm not … its just " she said looking down " I don't know what those few words can do to someone in the future … will it always be on their mind ? Making someone feel bad… i just don't like that " she said twiddling her thumbs. He shook his head "wow ,if I thought like you, I would always think of the things I called people " he said taking another bite of food. "Who taught you to think that way ?" He asked genuinely curious."well I actually began to think that way ,but my parents probably started it . They always said ' treat people how you want to be treated ' and they always wanted us to think of others " katsumi said ."us ?" Bakugo asked confused ." Me ,my two brothers and my sister " she said "do you have any siblings ?" She asked . Bakugo shook his head "no ,I was enough for my parents " he said ."that must have been lonely ,I don't know what I would've done without my siblings " she said sad. She smiled Remembering what they did together . How they would play video games and then two of them would fight. "No ,thanks " he said " they'd be annoying" he said looking away with disgust on his face."I know " she laughed "geez sometimes I felt like killing them" she added smiling at him . He looked at her and scoffed with a chuckle afterwards.he shook his head before taking another bite ."what ?" She asked with a cocked eyebrow ."nothing " he said not looking up ."oh, come on . You shook your head " she said "so there must be something ". He looked at her with a calm face ."just … Haven't seen this side of you before " he looked away when he was done ."oh … is this a bad side ?" She said shrinking in her chair. Bakugo looked immediately back to her when she spoke "no ,no … I like it " he said , his face getting some what rer  "Oh " she said sitting straight again " then I'll be myself more " she said a bit surprised. Bakugo's face turned redder  and he 'tched' looking away.

The next day ~

Katsumi walked into the classroom alone as everyone else was in their groups talking .katsumi smiled as she looked over at bakugo and his group . She remembered what he said last night and decided to go with what she said . She walked over to his seat ,her heart racing . She stood their beside him ,he was sitting with his arms folded and eyes closed . "Hey, bakugo " She said smiling . He opened his eyes and looked at her . "Whatever " he said more so whispered  looking away from her. "Ok everyone sit  down ." aziwa sensei said stading infront of the class. Katsumi headed over to her seat as the class began . everyone was quite as Aiziwa sensei began to talk ."U.A is going to be holding a festival for the students alone,and only U.A students " he began making everyone excited, especially katsumi who's never been to a festival."each class will do their own entertainment for the other students. Today you will need to choose what you're going to do " he said "everyone needs to make suggestions " Hands began poping up for the person's idea."but before we begin,katsumi " Aiziwa said turning to her "you will not be joining in ,seeing as you are still behind .you will be catching up and working on your quirk " he ended and went on. Katsumi looked down at her desk ,feeling her face fell. She wasn't sad about working , just about not going to her first festival.was she even in this school ?' No ,no it's fine .i'd be able to go to many more festivals. You need to make a few sacrafices if you want something ' she thought to herself with determination.She looked around the room as people gave ideas. While Iida wrote stuff down on the board.'I can get through this ' she thought . What she didn't know is that someone was watching her from across the room .

Lunch time ~

Katsumi walked with her lunch made by lunch rush ,in hand . She was looking for a table she could sit at.she doesn't sit with her new friends (if you could even call them that) ,she sits alone at a table. She didn't really mind it since she was used it ,but she did miss talking to her best friend and her old friends. She hoped they were okay. It did sadden her that she would never see them again. She sighed as she finally got a table ,and sat down at it .And she began to eat in silence. From a young age she was used to being the "lone wolf" .she'd have friends or a friend for a few months or year until ,she met her best friend and her new class. Now she lost them too ,along with her entire family. She stood up to threw away her tray   ,looking at the groups of people as she past them. And accidentally looked over bakugo's table . She looked at him for a second before pulling her eyes away. She decided to go back to her table since their was still a lot of lunch left.she didn't feel the eyes on her as she walked back to it .
