The irresistible survivor

First match

"I think it's been around five days I am in this manor. I lose track of the time because all clocks stopped working since a lot time ago. Fortunately I am not alone, there are a lot of persons with me. Unfortunately, most of them are obsessed with money. I mean... I know I am not different from them but... at least I got a good reason for wanting money. And on top of that, most of them are jerks. Just knowing my safety is inbetween their hands give me goosebumps." As one of the manor's rules made us write in a diary, I decided to obey and here I am. However, I heard footsteps coming my way so I quickly hide my diary and my pen. When I turned around, I saw one of the most creepy man here: Eli Clark. That man thought he is a seer, he talked a lot with his owl, saying it has magic powers, he wore a cloth on his eyes and can walk just fine. The crazy man. He crept towards me, wearing what looked like a poker face."Hello, (Y/N). I will sit down next to you."

"Well, I was... uh... going to the garden..." The seer stopped moving and stared at me for I think one minute. "Then let's go to the garden together." I wanted to say no, but he was creeping me out. I made it look like I was thinking about it and fortunately, someone come to save me. "Guys! I was looking for you!" Mercenary yelled. Seer faced him and he received a mean look from Naib, then they both turned to me."Okay, listen to me," Mercenary started, "we all are going to play today's match with Emily. We only have ten minutes to get ready then the lady Bird will come to get you. I want you guys to win today, not like last time we played together."

"Sorry, but I was going to the garden with-""After the match." Naib interrupted Eli's sentence with a growl then he started to leave, "Only nine minutes left."I sighed. Not only I was part of today's match, but I would had to deal with Mercenary's grumpy self and Seer's creepy self too. At least there were Emily, the doctor, who was one of the rare sane persons here. She said she had done terrible things in the past and I believe she did, but today she is one of the best people here. I hope she will rescue me if the hunter catch me. I took my diary and pen then I made a run for my room, without giving Eli a single look and enters the bedroom. I opened the desk's drawer and took my item. It was not a powerful item, unlike some items survivors had, but it can keep me safe a little bit. I made sure to let the diary and the pen under my bed, just in case someone would try to steal it and read it. I glanced at the bedroom's locked window, only seeing trees. It was sunny outside, but I knew I couln't go out there. A small tear fell from my eye. Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door and when I opened it, it was the lady Bird. She smiled at me in a dangerous way, and I knew the match was going to be hell.

I woke up in Lakeside. I didn't like that map very much because it's very big and I lost myself easily. Luckily, I spawned near a cipher, so I started to decode right away. The beginning of the match was calm and nobody seemed to be chase by the hunter. However, the situation quickly change when I heard the hunter teleporting to my cipher. I began to run away and my heart's beating became insane. I looked behind me and it was the Ripper, one of the best hunter in the manor. He was very good with throwing his fog blades and I was very bad at dodging it. I said the hunter was close to me, then jumped over a window and get a boost from it. Now I was very faw away from Jack. Two ciphers went down and my heart's beating returned to normal. Quickly after that, Mercenary said the hunter was near him. When I went back to the cipher I was decoding, I saw Emily.

I smiled at her and she smiled back, "Hello (Y/N). I am happy it's you." I nodded, we both knew Naib was a jerk and Eli a creep. "Likewise. It feels safer to be with you." After I finished talking, we heard the sound of a survivor being knocking down. It was Mercenary. "Naib?" the doctor asked, surprised, "Isn't he one of the best kiter? I thought he only go down after a rescue." Since Seer said he was focusing on decoding, I guess it was me who was going for the rescue. "I know, Emily. I guess he got terror shock then fog blade or something like that." I started running in a random direction until I can see the outline of the rocket chair then go for it.

When I arrived, Jack was here too with what seemed to be a big smile on his face. "Hello, little one. I am more than happy to see it's you who is coming for that waste of time." Mercenary immediately yelled, "Is it me you call a waste of time?!" I free Naib, but he got hit shortly after that. "Come on! Why are you so obsessed with me? Do you know I have a big decoding debuff?" Growled the short survivor. The Ripper only laughed, "She rescued you after half, you are dead on chair and you will stop wasting my time." I bit my tongue, did I really rescue him too late? I decided to ran away from the hunter and two ciphers went down. Like Jack say, Mercenary was dead on chair and we could hear his scream through all the map. Those kind of screams gave me goosebumps.

Suddenly, I met a cipher half done, probably Naib's one. I decoded it, Jack was chasing Seer since I heard a owl hit, then it was primed. The doctor was already at the gate, waiting for me to pop it so we could get out of here. When Seer got hit I pop the last cipher and I joined Emily who was opening the exit gate. "I hope Seer can kite long enough for us to escape." I agreed, "Yes, I hope too. But I think he will be able to." Unfortunately, seer was knocked down but we felt like we would have enough time to open the exit gate while the hunter would take him to the rocket chair. That was until we heard a teleportation to our exit gate. The doctor let go of the door and we started running, Jack following us. However, when Emily and I separated, I could see he was chasing ME. I got hit and immediately knock down since he had detention. My head was hurting a lot and I had trouble seeing the world around me, but I could see Jack.

He took me in his arms, like a princess, and brought me to dungeon. He putted me down, as if a was a crystal doll, and whispered in my ears, "Stay here and don't even think about getting up. I just need to send your friends back to manor." I didn't know what happened next, everything was blurry, but I could hear Emily's and Eli's scream, which scared me to the bone. Suddenly, the dungeon opened and I went for it. Everything was black until I realized I was back at the manor. In the hall, there were Mercenary, Doctor and Seer looking at me. I felt so embarrassed, "I... I am very sorry for that match guys! I... I really thought I had saved you Naib before half and for you two, I... I really tried to kite him long enough but..."

I know I didn't like them very much, but I respected them enough to apologize. Mercenary hid his face under his green hood and stuttered, "I-It's ok! It's not like I needed your apologies anyway..." Emily besides him sighed, "You did a good job at kiting him because the other exit gate was opened. However, when you got knocked down, the seer went for you. He got knocked down with detention and I foolishly thought that maybe I could heal one of you guys. Then I got chaired too. It was our mistake." Did Seer really left the exit gate just to save me? Why would he care so much? I shook my head at the end, "No, it's not. Don't worry. And at least we got one escape." They all nodded and we went to the doctor's room in order to get heal.
